turning 22 Condor into a Pussy Cat, 7 foot pound’s of energy
Been playing some more ,had the condor turned up to 75 foot pounds this weekend with 32 g. euijins at 1000 fps, now i went the opposite direction , here is a shot string for ya , bout fell asleep trying to finish this one.
It was terrible windy so the groups are not that great. 36 yard instead of 50, way to windy for 50.

used a lot of different pellets, all lighter stuff, gamo match, rws match ,gamo hunter, cabela’s h.p. jsb 14g., 15.9 , crossman Premier,
here is one target with most of the different pelllets to get an idea how they like the 500’s
i didn’t really try for the best groups because the wind was bad and i was trying to see what the string would look like with the gun set up like this.
I will sure tell ya one thing the wad cutters do not like the wind at all.the round nose pellets are not near as bad in the wind.
Here is one 5 shot group with the meisterkugeln when the wind let up a bit. 36 yard
The rws Meisterkugeln will shoot one hole at 25 ,30 yards at 750 to 800 fps.if the wind was not tering them up, 22 pellets at 550fps gives the wind allot of time to work on them i guess.the gamo match will also do better than this at higher velocity and no wind.

I would not use a metal washer or hard plastic for that matter, because the rubber is what cushions the hit between the top hat and the brass behind it.
If you don’t cushion this it causes inconsistency and fliers. with the top hat adjusted down at very low settings.
Also the power wheel has to be set just right with the top hat settings, and tank pressure to have the peak consistency.
DIgi give that barrel a good cleaning, and see what those groups do.
Today I just test the accuracy of the Condot @ 10 meter (at home) with Diana highpower pellets cal.22 and your o’ring mod/add:
The circle is 1cm diameter, myself desing, where you can see the white color hole made by 10 shots, yes 10 shots in an only hole…
As soon as possible I’ll try it at 25 meter in a outdoor conditions. I’m so happy…

how thick is your metal washer?
Just thinking about what is happening with the o-ring mod or a washer, I think there is one additional benefit to either one. The o-ring saved me about 40% of the air used without it, using 300 pounds where the same number of shots used 500 pounds without the o-ring. The one thing in common with an o-ring or a washer is that the breech chamber between the pellet seated in the barrel and the Top Hat is not allowed to reach the same length it would without the o-ring or washer. The Valve closes sooner with the same PSI as would ba e been but obviously less overall volume. Thus the saving of As much as 40%.
I recently re-timed my tank mounting collar to allow more than one turn of thread holding the tank. I now have 1 1/3 turns, but I also moved the collar back away from the barrel/breech area. So, I’ ve increased the breech volume and lost some velocity. It looks I’ll be changing the collar to get the valve forward, where it was, and refining it for my E-TaC.

I am using an oring out of a kit bought from auto store. It has worked great, for a year now,
I originally did this when shooting with the top hat down to .025 , at around 450 fps, shooting inside.and shooting 14g. pellets in the 800’s
While sighting on the bench i noticed that i was getting some shot interference. the top hat hitting the brass behind it caused the shot to vary.
I had the oring sitting sitting on my bench , so i dropped one in and turned the top hat back up a little, problem solved.
I took it out when i turned the gun up shooting 32 grain pellets at 1000 fps, and noticed that i was using a ton of air. put the oring back in, and turned the top hat up to get back to 1000fps, and used allot less air.
I get better consistency and closer shot strings with the oring, with less air usage.
I think that it helps close the valve quicker, on the rebound, in turn saving air.
i tried doing the oring trick back alot of years….anyhow didnt like it…the rubber is not consistent with temperature shifts…plus the rubber wore out quite fast…that said i could have had a shitty oring kit.
plastic washer got hammered flat and slowly increased speed…not good when you suddenly realize power is too much for your backstop and you accidentally just shot the new ikea couch the wife bought hehe
i found that a metal washer performed the best, i got my rifle to do 30 fpe over quite a long shot string…
i used to just take a flat head screwdriver and pry out the stem….sand the washer or find a thicker one…pop it on the stem and put it back in the bottle….while there was pressure in the bottle…..not that i recommend it….but i found out that the stem could be removed with pressure in the bottle, when it came out stuck to the breech one time
I have been shooting mine with it for a year now. not turned way down the whole time . but i leave it in there when shooting at all levels.
a doubt: could that mod damage any part of the valve or something more???

I was testing with a o´ring to reduce the action of the valve and the power down to 18.8joules (13.8 ft/bls) used a 1/2″x3/8″ o’ring: wowwwwwwwwwww

looks like this would be fun,targets as small as .25″ , WOW! that would make you sweat 🙁
a 14 grain pellet at 800fps is 19.9 foot pounds . so i will do some adjusting. Flattest trajectory seems to be most important.
Also shooting up to 55 yards would mean using round nose pellets , so i will play with them.
In Spain the maximum power is 24’2j, about 17.89ft/lbs, for competition… for that reason your mod is excellent!!!

Please a question/doubt: clicks end in my scope at 10 meters, how could I do when I shot at 25 meters??? any mod available???? I use a hammerli dovetail to weaver rail adapter & stock Barska high rings, also I have a pair of Leapers medium weaver rings but very difficult to see with my great big head!!!
