Q:

Velocity Change After Barrel Cleaning

Anyone see any noticeable change in velocity after cleaning you barrel? Like 20-25 fps? I’m not say which way though, :fishinghole: , you might call me nuts.

I find the extent of your fondness on lube usage rather alarming , although strangely exciting.

I put a little lube on my probe after cleaning my barrel. A couple drops and work the bolt up and down to distribute lube around o-ring.

Good point GKU.

You might also check the breech O-ring seal.

It may have become worn/damaged/missing or may just in need of a little silicone re-lube job after barrel cleaning ?

I know this sounds crazy but it lost speed after the cleaning. It should have been at 930-940 before the cleaning but when I started shooting a few through the chrony after the cleaning it was 890. After about 6-7 shots it was at 907. I quit shooting and increase the velocity up to 930 with the HSA. I’ll check the speed a little more often and definitely before I clean the barrel next time.

And yes Jimmy is a nut case for sure. Just ask him

Exactamento. A nut is as a nut does.

He’s more than nuts Ville!
After several pellets the velocity should be back to normal as the barrel settles in.

Normally the speed goes up a bit due a clean bore. And yes : You´re nutz !! :butkick:
