Q:

Villes ATL Vulcan .22

I´ll fix more pics later but here´s the first impression: Very nicely build, walnut stocked little and well balanced Gun. The trigger is superbly crisp and immensenly adjustable. It´s easy to work on – as is the norm with the Russian/ Czech Guns in general.

Another pic. One of the un-hanged Daughters of mine was in for a visit so we took a partial Family pic :

I find your daughter rather nicely hung myself,,,

Now I understand the scooter comments. Nice bike. I have owned 3 different hot Yamahas in my younger years and even a combo 200 at college but now go low and slow on my scooters for scenic touring in the Ozarks (at the ripe old age of 57). 😛 What a cutie!!! (I mean the little rider)

Airgun import restriction? That really sux.

Yea I was just having a laugh with the scooter comments.. my wife even had one and they have their place for sure.. had some fun times around Italy and south east Asia on a scooter but still hard to compare with the two tours of south east asia on a dirt bike..
Ive always had bikes and I respect all on two wheels (apart from Ville) as they all share an interest regardless of bike type…
My bike is the Husky SM610, you guys got it and also the TE610cc and 510cc, they stopped making it now KTM have bought out Husky and make the SMS630 instead which is basically just a KTM now.

Hers a vid of my SM610 in action.. the real fun starts when the get out of town about mid vid..
They are real fun machines that are unbeatable through the twisty stuff even by the bigger sport bikes..

Heres the new model showing the contrast of taking time to enjoy the views and having fun with the same bike 🙂

Yup they are restricting importation PCP pistols which our law states anything shorter than 30″ (762mm)… Governmental Idiots!

I don’t think we get that bike here. We get the Terra 650 or Strada 650 would be the closest configuration.

Christmas in February at the villes !

Nice one Villie boy.. I had a strong hunch that this Vulcan was going to be a winner and a leader of pups.. With so many new pups out this year and my countries new law change restricting my importation I spent my Vulcan money on a new toy.. mine got 610cc and its Swedish.. 😆
Even my daughter enjoys it

I will be relying totally on your impression of this pup to help me through these importation hard times.. 😥

Yep! I do hear you. When my Daughters were in their Teens (mind you the 2 first ones have 10 months and a week between them and the third one is just 13 months after those two) i begged for mercy and hoped the day those idiots would move out. Then i had my accident and now the damn House feels small and quiet – too quiet. It´s just me, my Wife and our Dogs. Once the whole Family is gathered it´s a mad house again. I love every minute of it though. 😆

That sounds great. I know what you mean. One son finished school, got married and move over a hundred miles away. Now the second is just finishing college and has a steady BF. It will soon be me, the wife, and the two cats with 4 beds and 3 baths. Just the lower electric and water bills will be amazing. :suprisedn: I like the big house, though, because I can’t hear her yelling at me from one end of the house to the other. 😆

I am saving my pennies for a Vulcan now. 😛 Actually, with the 4 true BPs I own I never use the Edgun .25 so it may be the one to trade up. I am trying to keep the PCP number to six with all of my other hobbies.

I grabbed the nearest scope on the shelf and it happened to be a Bush Banner 6-24. I´ll crown it with a Delta Ti 4.5-30 for next outing – or maybe with my BR scope IOR Comp 36 x since there´s no use to even shoot it at under 50 meters. It´s a pellet-on-pellet affair.
I´ll shoot it at 85 -100 m next time out. That will be on Sunday. I´m currently drinking Beer and having blast with my Daughters and the Wifey. Nice to have them all home under the same roof again. I´d never thought i´d say that a few years back when all 3 Girls were still living at home. Times change, my friend. Times change .. :suprisedn:

Finally, a high quality compact BP with a quality walnut stock that is very accurate. It’s been a long time coming. :8: Nice photo of the family!!!

What scope did you slip on that?

The challenge here in the US may be getting one with a nice stock like that. It tends to be hit and miss with these guys 😉 AOA was actually the first place that let me pick a stock on my Air Ranger now three years ago and recently sold. 😆

Another pic. One of the un-hanged Daughters of mine was in for a visit so we took a partial Family pic :

FX 16 gr (JSB) at 290 mps. I´ll test the 18 grainers on Sunday. This was the way the reg/valve was delivered from the factory. I quess the 18´s will shoot at between 275 – 280 mps with that setting. Great stuff !!

Thank you – very nice. I was afraid it might be a big hit. I love that stock. I am crossing my fingers on the shooting test. Hopefully, the JSB 18s are the cat’s meow.

Update: Great news – which pellet?

As said i testshot the Volc and here are my first findings:

It´s quiet. The hammer slap is the loudest noise and that one´s a bit louder than that from a Cricket.
It´s very, very accurate. Without touching the internals it shot at very steady velocity – very steady indeed! The extreme spread was 2 mps.
The side cocking lever is a good thing.
The mags are a hassle for someone accustomed to those easy Cricket mags but i get slowly used to loading them. Far better than FX mags though.
It has nice ergonomics and the balance is very good.
The std trigger settings are bad. Like a rubber band in cold. Easily adjustable though.
Did i mention it´s silly accurate ?

This one is really something. I love the Compact but now it has a step brother and i´ll probably learn to love it as much.

I did several groups at 50m that measured under half inch. I was hitting a 1/2″ spinner at 90 yards 4 times out of five. This with the trigger on std stance. There was no wind so the conditions were great otherwise.

Being out at the range today. I LIKE THIS LITTLE BUGGER !

As i promised Coda here´s a size comparison between the Volcano & Cricket Compact :

I like cocking leaver and trigger that’s is big differences with cricket :sadn:
