Q:

Well, I bought it…

😀

Guess what comes in monday. Guess. Just guess. 🙂

😀 I’m so excited. 🙂

Now I have to save up and get a 300 win mag barrel for it. That’s going to be expensive, over 2000. Anybody got any money laying around? 😛

But yeah. Gets in monday. I’ll probably pick it up tuesday. Yay!

First high grade rifle. This thing is supposed to be a tack driver. He sent me pictures of 1″ groups at 300 yards with it. This will be my gun for competition for now on. I want it now! 🙂

Wow Lama you got a nice rig there… (I think I said that before but it’s worth repeating…).

Yeah, you really don’t need a Glock! 😆 😉

Just think, it would match that rifle real nice! (I didn’t say that did I?) 😆

Have fun and kick some ass in the competitions too.

Yeah. I have a 300 ultra mag. That’s a big caliber. Really really big. And you’re right about the money thing, over 2 bucks a round, geez. 😛

How does the .223 work on deer? I might take it deer hunting. I’d like to have a bigger caliber for that, but might not be able to. So if the .223 works well, I might use that. Do you go for vitals or headshot? What kind of bullets?

They make a rimfire kit (.22lr .22 mag or .17hmr) for my blaser. I just can’t bring myself to spend 1500 on that. 😛 I probably will one day. But not before the 300 win mag barrel.

you planing on to shoot a MOOSE?
i have shot many deer with a .223 😀
haha its always good fun to have a big caliber.
hope you can get enough money 😀
i have just brought a new little .17hmr and am hanging out to use these holidays (4days away).
cheers

Thanks man.

I looked at the tactial 2. I was told the lrs2 was a better buy, mostly because the fate of the tac2 is unknown, and it’s hard to get parts for. The lrs2 has plentiful parts. (they cost a lot though. 😛 )

300 win is the biggest caliber I have available to buy. It comes with the barrel, muzzle break, mirage band, magazine, and bolt head. I really want to have one by hunting season, but that’s going to be hard. I’m going to sell my old .223, and maybe some other stuff. I’ll have to work hard, but I might can do it.

Anybody have spare money? 😛

hey lama
i know a guy who got a Blaser tactical in 338 lapua.
he said it was deffinatley worth spending the money and
has never fired a rifle and instantly felt so confident with it.
i went goat shooting with him and he was shooting them out to 600 yards the first 3 days he had had it.
after that he went on and shot some game in africa with it.

Nice choice by the way.
I like the look 🙂 im not sure on the 300 win mag as i have never used one.
i have just started trap shooting and i have become the top in my school,
i know that takes alot of discipline, but rifle shooting takes alot more than trap.
hope you have great fun
cheers
Sam

PS i have used a 6mm out to 1000yards on goats, i know that has great accuracy.

Well, I shot it. 🙂

😀 😀 😀 😀 😀

🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

Yeah, I like it. Factory ammo was punching 1/4″ groups constantly at 100 yards. I had to start shooting offhand, the bench with the bipod and rear monopod down just got too easy. I shoot many times as well offhand with it as I do any other gun, the ability to adjust the stock in every dimension and fit it to you is amazing. I was punching 2.5″ circles (the width of the bottom of a soda can 😛 ) All afternoon. I can’t wait to take it out again. I might not even wait untill this weekend. I might have to go during the week. 🙂 I love it. Worth every penny. 😀

I didn’t get any pictures of the groups. Too many people shooting, didn’t feel like waiting to go downrange.

I will get more pics of the gun tommorow afternoon. Next time I go I’m going to sight in the competition sights. Didn’t have any good targets to do that last time.

Yay for cool guns!!!!

I also shot a glock while I was there. I’m trying to convince myself I don’t need one….

quote afreaka:

nice one Lama, I’m sure you’ll have fun with that one.

ps just be carefull with loading, apparantly the action could be quite dangerous with hot loads blowing it out the back.

I read about that.

Turned out that they made a bad batch with the wrong material for locking pins. It would melt when powder went out the back of the primer, and send the bolt backwards.

The ones in my gun are good ol’ metal. 🙂

I love it. 😀

nicely done………… 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

Wow that does look smashing, strewth

Let us know when you get that first 1000 yd g-hot kill. 🙂

Mr-lama think of the deer and the hogs you can kill for me.

Congratulations. Nothing like a precision piece is there? You are ruined for life.
GOD SAVE US ALL!

Well. It got here. All I can say is

HOLY MOTHER OF GOD THIS IS THE MOST AMAZING THING I HAVE EVER SEEN EVER EVER.

Yeah, I like it. I like it more than I expected to, which is saying a lot. I shot it 5 times. Not aiming at much, just shooting at a tree a few hundred yards off. The bolt it soooooo smooth and fast. I’ll never be able to use a regular bolt again. This thing is awesome.

I’m taking it out thursday to punch some paper. I can’t wait. 🙂

MAN LAMA,

That is one SWEET ASSED RIG for sure. Can’t wait to see some pics and vid.

And ooh yeah guys…those High powered rifles aint expensive….these damned airguns are expensive for something that can’t group well at 100 yrds or beyond.
