what caliber would suit me best?
hey guys, i am from the uk and am asking you what calibre would be best for me.
i have an fac lisence and .177 ammo is alot cheaper than .22
i will be pureley hunting out to long ranges so i was thinking about a .177 for the flat trajectory but i’ve heard that it uses alot of air.
howmany shots could i expect shooting .177 at 22 ft/lbs and a .22 at 35 ft/lbs

Probably 20-30 to stay within a reasonable extreme spread.
okay then, decided on .22
How many shots should I expect from an 18″ barrel shooting 21.4g kodiaks at just over 900 fps

With a FAC license you may as well go big. The .22 or .25 will shoot flatter than the .177. Not to mention the extra energy the big projectiles carry down range. Smaller pellets will save you air and be cheaper.

GRRR…… what about 30 ft/lbs? would I get about 60 shots?
