Q:

what do you consider accurate?

for airguns that is
when people say this pellet or that one isnt accurate
what do you mean
to me accurate is hitting 1.5-2 inchs at 50 yds
i hunt and my guns are used for hunting
if i was a benchrest gun ill grab my .22 lr and get single holes at 50
but i like the airguns for hunting and if i can hit max 2 inch at 50 im happy
at 100 id say prolly 3to3-1/4 inches
im only gonna shoot at a crow or pidgeon at that range
its hit or mis basically

accuracy is relative to what you’re shooting at and being able to hit it consistantly… 😛

at the moment, i’m using open sights on my Talon and i’m quite satisified with results out to a measured 63 yards.

Nice thing about family having property is everyone can enjoy it, big parties at the property.

Vwery nice my inlaws have 40 acres but it is 5.5 hours away, bad for shooting good because of the mother inlaw. 😀

That is awesome shooting area there and I have to go 75 miles to dads to get some elbow room. Most of the houses on my road are foreclosed on by the banks so not too many people left to complain.

This town depended on the big 3 and you know how they are doing.

This is dads

I linked the album there are a lot of pics

This is from my driveway up there by dads 48 acres and I have 3.5 acres that butts up to his which means I get to play on his land lol

This is from the elevated blind/hut/condo

Yeah no shooting anywhere in the city here in Calgary!! The City Police would have their tank and both their Eurocopters c/w the dudes dressed in black with MP5’s in minutes!!!

I keep my Condor and Drozd out of site and on private controlled land, fortunately only 20 minutes from my door to the Great Outdoors! 😀

Have a few buddies who are Cops and they just say keep out of sight so they don’t have to do paperwork and things will be cool.

No Police, kids, or wife. 😆

It’s not bad for being 10 minutes from the worst neighborhood in detroit 🙂

I live in Romulus, MI and our street is the only one I know of in the whole city with mostly woods.

Abandoned factory accross the street keeps houses from being built there and it’s 600 acres of woods then behind me 10 acres of woods I have country in the city lol.

When I want to shoot 600m I go to dads property.

Now you have the spot friend that looked like something the buffalo used to roam.

accross street no houses and my street is over a mile long with all woods

behind me

Nice shooting there Tex with your Condor. 🙂

Randy

Looks like a great area you have to shoot.

Nice shooting randy and I used my Airforce condor with 24″ barrel

Shot off bipod and put my daughters bean bag under the pistol grip then my hand under that to give me a somewhat rest but I plan on buying a good rest to see what the rifle can really do now that it’s tuned 🙂 that was pretune but we can’t get a day with winds under 15 mph and swirling wind at that so I can try 100y again.

What air rifle were you using FF?

Posted this on the Yellow thought I would share here as well using 2400 psi, PW 0, 90 gram custom hammer.

Well after waiting for weeks I finally got a chance to get out for some testing of my .22 Condor and .22 JSB 18 grainers. The 1st groups were shot during gusts they tightened up dramatically when the wind settled down. So one thing here I was only using 10 power on my scope, a bipod, and shooting off my Jeep’s hood so I really think if I invested in a shooters bench I could do better as this was pretty casual shooting.

After shooting the JSB’s I think I will just stay with the 21 grain .22 Kodiaks as my Condor was flinging the little 18 grainers around 1080 fps and they did not buck the wind anything like the heavy 21, 28, and 32 grain .22 pellets.

Multiple 5 shot groups at 25 yards with JSB’s, could have done better I am sure than just using my Jeep’s hood:

100 yard groups with JSBs light wind:

Randy

Sub 1″ at 100 yards is acceptable and 1/2″ at 75 yards that’s an accurate rifle in my book.

8 shots 2700psi 21 grain kodiaks 100 yards and the shot in the orange was there from zeroing I ran out of circles.

5 shots 2500psi 21 grain kodiaks 100 yards

Wow!
They are staying accurate at those speeds?? 😮

Yes and Kodiaks being driven at 1070fps are super flat shooters.

Much past 1100 fps most pellets will start to open up but it seems my Condor flings them nicely around 1050 fps nicely I did recrown the LW .22 barrel as well.

Thanks, it does what I need pesting out to 125 yards. 8)

I am pushing .22 JSB the 18.9s around 1040 fps with my Condor and 1090 fps with my .25 tank, so hope to try them out at 100 yards Sunday morning if I can. 🙂

Randy

That’s what I consider accurate..Nice Randy

As I do lots of pesting I need at least 20 ft lbs of energy at 100 yards and prefer around 30 ft lbs best.

I hope to get out tomorrow morning for some 100 yar goups but here are some 25 and 50 yard groups in .22 and .25.

50 yard .25 Eun Jin

50 yard .22 Eun Jin

50 yard .22 Kodiaks
