Q:

What’s the differences between a Cricket and an Edgun?

Is it preference or quality?

I own two crickets and both needed quite a bit of attention. The first one was bought used and bought another mans troubles but everything is fixed thanks to good friendly service and now I have one of the Most accurate 22 cricket out there without sending it to Ernest. He did however send me a regulator that was set to my speed I wanted so thanks to Ernest again. A year later I bought a 25 cricket with a bad shroud and needed to be replaced. I know the guns inside and out now and have helped a lot of my friends with their crickets as well. If the volcan had not come out I would still buy another cricket. Btw I made it a point NOT to get it sent out and tuned. I have survived so far.

Ive got a Villa in Ibiza… .. Lol ..

I KNEW IT !! You are Gay 🙂

For those who claim the Cricket is not as accurate as an Ed gun this is not my experance. I also own an AirWolf MCT. My Cricket in side by side comparison is equally accurate. I don’t own an Ed gun but both my Cricket piles one 18 grn pellet on top of each other set at 880 fps. It’s hard to get more accurate than that. I’m sure the Ed gun does the same.

I will require therapy after reading this link. You are the angriest people I have ever met outside myself.

Ive got a Villa in Ibiza… .. Lol ..

PS – my name isn’t ” Villa”. It’s Ville.
All the respect to Pancho Villa though.

OK. Villa has to be the biggest Edgun hater out there. So be it. He sounds like a kid not getting his way. His number 1 complaint is no parts and service. If I still owned a cricket that would always be on my on my mind to. Just think of this. How come most people who buy a cricket have or thinking of sending it to our friend Ernest for something. Be it Clipping. Mag issues. Trigger work. The list goes on. You get the point. And the rest probable did the work themselves. And if you think I’m pulling your leg just take a look at all the issues under cricket and scroll down on this forum. Let’s talk about service. Could the Edgun service be better. Yes it could .most people realize that. I believe that.out of the box most Edgun owners are satisfied and most cricket owners are not unless they have Ernest do a major tune. The cricket is built a lot more finicky that’s plain to see. :fishing:

Like à Kid not getting my way? Because i think EG , Ed and his customer care sucks ? Well , then so be it.
Nevertheless my EG experience, times twice, was a horror story. I shit you not !

Maybe you like being buttfucked and then put aside but i don’t. If that’s how you play then lots of luck. I myself demand my moneys worth and i didn’t get that from the EG company – far from it.

And the main reason to my complaint isn’t the non-existing customer care nor the spare parts availability rather than the fact my both EG’s sucked. Bad.
One blew it’s breech on my face , to name one mishap.

quote Sir Ville:

I beg to differ on your first point. The second i can agree to -with a caveat : A Cricket is even easier to work on.

And if you have never had any issues what did you need those spares for ?? Just wondering .. 🙂

I picked up extra o-rings and an extra valve just in case I need them some day. I haven’t needed them yet.

Say Track. My first decent sprInger was a Air Arms. then I graduated to a AA S510 .Then so on down the line. Not many people can do what you’re doing. Fix what evers wrong your self. Great skills. I do n’t have the luxury to have 3 or more pcp at one time. Good for you. You mentioned the Vulcan. A really nice looking gun. The first time I saw it on this forum it’s looks impressed me. I suppose you will soon find out its faults too.Keep us posted. It’ll be interesting to see when more people get to use it how it performs.
