What scope are you guys using on your Edgun?
Just bought a 22cal. standard.
I want Mil dots for sure.. Not sure about power or 1″ or 30mm.
Is the 30mm to big?

I think Zeiss makes one the very best scopes available in the US but the reticle (Rapid-z) I would need is on the over $1000 models only. Try shooting eggs stuck up in a tree at 100+ yards with a plain fine crosshair, Multiplex, standard mil dot, target dot, etc. from a 900 FPS gun with a first shot hit being the only one that counts since they fly away.

Hey, Snob – that one was a good deal indeed. Zeiss sure makes nice scopes any any Zeiss at 14x will beat 99.8% of any Chinese scope at 24x … And if you need that Mamba we´ll get you a Mamba, although i´d go for the Viper but that´s just me. On the second thought – since you´re a Snob you really should go for the Taipan or Genesis…
Wish we could try out the Mambas. But for what ever reason, they aren’t avaliable here.
I don’t get the need for 24x at 100 yards. With my Zeiss, I can see the pellet pass through the target to at least 175, and this at only 14x. And seeing .177 holes at 100 yards through the Zeiss is crystal clear. And I’m damed near blind. To the point that I am having eye surgery next month. 😯
But with the Zeiss, the target is clear. Crystal clear. Bright day light, dusk, dawn, deep woods, looking toward the seting Suns direction, (Just dont’ look directly at it!) doesn’t matter. Target, pellet holes, pellet flight is clear.
And if you try, you can find good optics on sale. Particuarlly after Christmas at places like Cabelas, Gander mt. Bass Pro. or on line at places like OpticsPlanet. I paid 6oo for a 50 mm objective. 4.5×14 Mil-Dot Zeiss Conquest, With target turrets. I have seen them sold for under 500 at times. So you can get a hell of a lot better scope that the 400- 600 buck chinese scopes most suggest. You just have to do a little research.

I am going FT scope on the 30 cal so it will be a switch from Hawke. I think Hawke has the very best reticle, at least readily available and supportable here, for under $500. 😛

Cool. If you ever happen to get an SR Pro they have 1/4 graduations in between the major markings and I use them.
Just got my hawke scope in the mail today…and I must say it’s not bad..I’m just use to the other hawke reticle with allllllll those mil dots and half mils.
Most on this forum can´t either so don´t feel too bad about it. Besides, the Bushnell you have is a great scope.

This scope is probably the clearest optics (a step up over my Elite) and best of the bunch with good customer service but you would have to get the parallax range reset for airguns.
