Wobbly shroud = pellet clipping
Hi
I have battle some inconsistent POI with my Cricket .25, I think I found the culprit.
Question is; Do anyone have an good idea how to fix it?

Look at the video, no polishing will fix that shroud, sure it might exit the barrel differently and therefor clip less in certain positions but that’s just band-aid for a bad shroud…
Given the big number of people that has contacted me via PM and email stating they had exact same trouble, with different purchase dates, and calibers, I say: No way this is an isolated incident.
maybe I would polish barrel and try if it is better than before polishing.
Any clipping, how tiny it may be is ,under all circumstances unacceptable no- no and will – always – have an effect on accuracy.
The clipping on mine is very little, thats why, you can shoot 3 shots sometimes and it goes good, next is 1-2 inch away.
I re-coated the front (as all paint is gone) and you can see where it hits, and it’s as I said very little
So I’m not surprised that it shoots like it does, you can even control where to hit (about 6-7 inches direction) by turning the shroud.
However: Turning the shroud 180 degrees from tight will make it shoot perfect most of the time, however, the shroud is now loose so you will get some really bad ones from time to time where it clipping even more.
As Ville stated I have an shroud + silencer inbound soon, then this will be an none issue for me, but whole summer went pretty much away, glad I have my other gun.
First I would check status shooting without shroud. If groups will be noticeable tide it is shroud…
Yeah…that’s a bit strange! Perhaps the pellet is randomly being deformed during loading??? Something it ain’t right!

MrMel, am I right that you experienced random good grouping? E.g. 1/2″ and after that – without even touching the silencer – bad grouping?
I know the seller is on Vacation – who knows about the factory though … Don´t fret though – a shiny, new CF shroud is soon on its way to your palatial residence. :whistle:
Ive have already contacted seller day #1 and he the factory and factory does not answer…
Perhaps the factory staff is on vacation i dont know and honestly does not care soon
As I said on previous page. I sent wrong shroud to seller and after 2 weeks I got brand new shroud. You have to contact person who sell the gun to you or kalibrgun directly.

I see you have bad shroud but make polishing barrel is useful too.
