this reminds me of years back when hick gun schmidts re barreled and “tuned” WWII Japanese Arisakas turning them into very impressive arms.
True there was potential there

Case in point, years ago I had a splendid Griffin & Howe done Arisaka in .257 Roberts

it isn’t
its a El CheaPo AG that’s been re-barreled with a decent barrel with minor mods
No issues with that but is it remotely in the same class as this?

build quality, given a Crosman is, well trash compared to FWB

show me where the LD surpasses an used FWB
I can buy FWB M2s regularly for 400 bones, nothing little Timmy can do will make a damn Crosman more accurate than a M2 FWB
Further while you slowly nigger lip the bolt on your LD, I will already have up to 5 pellets punching through the same hole down rage
see a great deal of slobbering about whaat was basically a throw away with a German barrel installed
the LD is a great conversion on a junk gun but it no matter how much some fantasize it to be, an FWB

I remember when you had that last LD it was the neatest thing in the world, outshop every gun at the gun shop, you would never sell it, and you traded for what, a Bam 50 or some chinese gun or was that the Condor, or the 48 or the P1 or the …… 😆

Well i owned one and regretfully sold it
It was AWSOME balance was sweet with the gun off hand one handed dime groups at 25 yards with easy
off a bench 50 yards hitting quarters no problem
200+ shots per hangy tank
VERY consistant with the velocity between shots due to the way the valve was re done
I am trying to sell my trail XL now to buy another LD

Not WOK, but I’ve heard the same thing…. folks love these guns. I’ve went back and forth on getting one, but never pulled the trigger as the hangy tank just looks a bit odd to me… I have several Crosman PCP conversions that shoot better than I do and so I dont understand where the hole in my airsenal is that requires an LD…
Perhaps one day….
but it is true that Tim does have a lot of nut huggers with the LD. Perhaps we both are missing something here, RS… ❓
