Q:

Would love to see some longish range Cricket .25 groups

The Edguns have numerous threads with a bunch of nice groups, but after multiple thorough internet/youtube searches I was able to only come up with a measly handful of Cricket .25 groups :(. Keeping in mind the recent popularity explosion of the Crickets last year I find it odd that there is not a abundance of group pictures floating around, especially highlighting upon the .25’s apparent prowess for longer range shooting. Those that I have found are either a very grainy, 1-year old video in Russian that does not specify the distance or even worse a demonstration only shooting the dang 50 ftlb, 25 cal, $1800 bullpup at 20 friggin yards . The other scenario would be a new owner posting up pics of groups within the first 100 or so shots out of the gun, while that is great I don’t think it actually is a good representation of what a broken-in gun could do. Anyways it sure would be nice to see some of you proud Cricket owners show off these nice little bullpup’s accuracy :biggrinn:. As a side note I understand that most of the world does not experience as “fair” of winters as we do here in Cali, so if the bitter cold is keeping y’all from shooting farther than your basment ranges I completely understand….

Cheers

I’ve noticed that the times that you have absolutley no intention of shooting the wind will be dead calm….buutttt as soon as you pick up that rifle the wind will whip up quicker than a tornado in a trailer park πŸ‘Ώ πŸ‘Ώ damn wind…..

Hah, I don’t do the .25 Rifle version any justice….. but here’s mine at 35 & 50 yds.

My gal does much better πŸ˜‰

If this f-ing wind ever quits ill do some more.

Ok I got home just at dark and wind had shifted and calmed a little. Now blowing 10-12 mph mostly down range a little left to right so I put a target out at 100 yds. I got some vertical dispersion which I normally don’t get. Anyway heres a group shot under less than ideal conditions but wanted to give you something. Coin is a quarter and the group is 1-3/4 x 1 not great but ok. Also hat the scope turned up from my normal 16x so my hold over was off.

With 10mph winds I consider that some great shooting :8: :8: thanks very much for the groups, I really appreciate it…

Ok I got home just at dark and wind had shifted and calmed a little. Now blowing 7-10 mph mostly down range (tailwind) a little left to right so I put a target out at 100 yds.

Ha sir ville read your remark. Wasn’t really worried about it. Just want the poster to know these are real. I could care less if he buys a cricket I don’t sell them. Steve at wwag does and he is super if you want one lol. Anyway that’s all, I love the gun and couldn’t be more satisfied with it.

Gun is shooting at 960 fps. I usually fill to around 230 bar and shoot 4 mags. With a 250 bar fill I shot 56 I think befor it fell off the reg.

Sir Ville;
LOL

sure its a collective thing for making 1500 $ decisions for sure

nice
and how many times will it give you those consistant 12 shot groups

until, it falls off the regulator

Very good!
Now, i think my remark over the “Internet Marksmanship” has got out of proportions. I do NOT accuse anyone for fakery – i just spoke my mind , as i usually do , and that can be taken a way that it was not meant to be taken.
What i meant – LITERALLY – is that i do not make my decision over “which one should i buy” based on groups posted on the net. ThatΒ΄s all – go ahead , nothing to see here…

I saw your post and would post some groups but here in the north it’s been 10 degrees and 20 mph winds for a week non stop. I can sqeek out. 60 yards out of my shop that is relatively protected. Shot this group when I got home last night just at dark the wind died down a bit. Only 60 yards though. Shot from a Harris bipod and rear sand bag. Un sorted out of the tin pellets. Jsb’s. Gun shoots barracudas and the crossman domed as well though. Group was shot over the course of maybe a minute or two. Nothing special. Was hurrying to beat the dark. I’m not really a group shooter. I do a bit for sight in purposes and fun. I’m mainly a hunter and the long range shooting at targets is for hold over verification. I shot this group after cleaning my gun a couple days ago. Shot the group on the left adjusted right an shot a couple more. Based on experience this gun will shoot. 3/4 -1 at 75 yards and 1 -1/2 at 100. I’ll shoot some when the wind die down. These are honest groups I have nothing to gain by showing fake groups. They seem consistent with other guys groups I’ve seen. Dot is 3/4 inch and this gun will do better. Thanks.

guess they don’t look as good as in the pics

I suggested Minelli because I have several Daystates and every stock is gorgeous even the one on the $1000 Huntsman.

Why Minelli ? There are at least 10 better options. Or maybe not better but at the same level and cheaper.
