Q:

Would love to see some longish range Cricket .25 groups

The Edguns have numerous threads with a bunch of nice groups, but after multiple thorough internet/youtube searches I was able to only come up with a measly handful of Cricket .25 groups :(. Keeping in mind the recent popularity explosion of the Crickets last year I find it odd that there is not a abundance of group pictures floating around, especially highlighting upon the .25’s apparent prowess for longer range shooting. Those that I have found are either a very grainy, 1-year old video in Russian that does not specify the distance or even worse a demonstration only shooting the dang 50 ftlb, 25 cal, $1800 bullpup at 20 friggin yards . The other scenario would be a new owner posting up pics of groups within the first 100 or so shots out of the gun, while that is great I don’t think it actually is a good representation of what a broken-in gun could do. Anyways it sure would be nice to see some of you proud Cricket owners show off these nice little bullpup’s accuracy :biggrinn:. As a side note I understand that most of the world does not experience as “fair” of winters as we do here in Cali, so if the bitter cold is keeping y’all from shooting farther than your basment ranges I completely understand….

Cheers

PB –
I´d rather say ; “No pics-it didn´t happen. With pics – it did happen but who knows how, when and by whom”. :biggrinn:
Easy groups actually. Shot very casually while shooting the gun the first time. I have no clue about the deviation since i didn´t chrony it. Like said it was brand new, straight out of the box so i didn´t care about much else than getting pellets thru it. I always shoot my rifles from bench, on clone Bi-pods and i use my left forearm as a “rear bag”. I neither sort, roll or do Voodoo on the Pellets except if i happen to see a deformed one i throw it away – thus i´ve been throwing away copious amounts of JSB´s lately . :angrymob:

I like pictures of guns and dead pests. :biggrinn:

Now that is what turns me on about these regulated guns, the groups hold together for a 12 shot group like that, that is really nice guys,
(((((( would you say this was an easy group to shoot , or was it work)))))

I write down wind conditions, and as much info as needed right on the target most of the time , for my own information, i post these allot of times for others, as needed for tuning or comparison, nothing wrong with posting up what you have been able to accomplish.

but i know what you’re thinking , i don’t boast or brag, and this is the original reason i didn’t post groups, until a few were running down the condor and saying how crappy they shoot .or trying to help guys with tuneing

again nice groups, what((((((( would you say the deviation in your group was , human, did you have a rock solid rest, ))))))))

((((( pellets))))))), did you sort the pellets, try rolling a few dozen pellets and shoot a 12 shot group
I’m curios about these guns, i find it hard to leave well enough alone, is the reason i’m asking.

and again secoda, pictures are fun, i take pics of my targets, for my own records, its nice to be able to look at while sitting at the computer.
besides: you know what they say ,
no pics , didn’t happen
lol

I am with you. Posting pictures of groups is kind of silly. Half of them are fake or staged in some way unless they are from a certified competition and even then can be verified. I have to give Ted some credit since filming of the shooting of the group lends a bit more credibility to the it but not completely. Everything can be edited and controlled. I would prefer if someone just tells me what kind of groups they are seeing and then we can judge for ourselves how credible it is. 😯

I´m not much into Photoing my groups for show on the Internet since there´s no way to verify if the target “shot at 55,65 or 100 yards in 35 mph sidewind” is really shot at that distance or at 18 yards in the basement. I save the original targets for my own records though.
That said here´s two targets shot at 50 meters/ 55 yards in O.K conditions what i can remember (or was it at 125 yards during a Hurricane, i´m not really sure) the first time i shot my WST .25 out of the box. It shot hot, wasn´t broken in and had only a handful of pellets thru it prior. Both targets have a mag (12 shots) on them.
I was still zeroing the scope so actually the second target here is shot first so they´re in wrong order.

This isn’t a recent group (think this was day after receiving so cut me some slack) but heres a 12 shot (1 mag) group at 50yds. As soon as my BP gets back from Ernest I’ll do another group. When I got it was shooting 1000FPS+

Nice group

If you think .25 Cricket long range groups are hard to come by, try finding ANY long range groups from a .30 ED Gun. One member promised groups by last monday. But NADA!!!

Ignore the shot in the upper left was from sighting in.
