Q:

Trigger mods…better accuracy–

dis-assembled gun down to the point I could remove the 3 springs and agim accesss to contact points. Only able to get to 2 of the contacts..that was the 2 places on the center piece. To get to the others would mean removing those “pins” or “rivets”..and I’m not up for that..Used some 800 sandpaper that I put a couple of drops of oil on. Maybe 2 dozen strokes or so at each point, then cleaned then up with Q-Tips. Removed 1.5 coils from each of the 3 trigger springs, and put gun back together. Trigger feels a LOT better than it did..smoother and quite a bit less pull 😀 Below are some shot gtoups I did after doing the modifying. They were done at 25 yards..The one where the shots go down is cause I just wondered if I could do it..The other on on that same piece of paer would have been pretty good, ecept for the flyer(my fault, not the gun). The single group, which is just one hole is THE BEST I’VE evers hot with any airgun 😀 😀 😀 All 3 groups were 7 shots..all other info is written on the targets. IMO, that little bit of work on the trigger was WELL worth the effort…

edited to add: those are one inch squares on the targets.

I’m not attempting to ‘fight’ or be late.

But as a new poster (after a long hiatus), and having wanted to wait to see if Adam and Tony pinged in about it, does seem like everyone piled on with “bullshit” and yet he’d done what he’d said.

I frequent quite a few forums (and moderate others) and this is a very angry and ‘hard to fit in’ group.

Just an observation. So feel free to pile on me now.

You’re kinda late to the fight.

So both experts have now given their opinion.

No apologies for calling “bullshit”. So too bad for him, right?

And now you want him to tell how he’s doing it?

Give the guy a break. Let him figure out what he’s going to do next with it.

Bump test???? How does one perform a bump test? Is there a “bump test standard”?

I forgot to add that I had on one of my aluminum trigger shoes on the gun when I did the bump test.

The extra weight of the trigger shoe added to why it did not pass the bump test.

It might have passed if it had the stock plastic trigger shoe.

I don’t think it’s that. 😀 I have an aluminum trigger shoe and works passing over 50-60 bump tests. It’s likely the specs on yours may be internally different as you mentioned yours was an older model? What you tested was the maximum adjustment and apparently too much. Not passing the bump test means it’s on the edge (which is good it works) and adjusting would solve the issue.

well s3, there you are.

so do you feel like letting us goons know what youre doing(thinkin a few well placed springs), im sure theres money to be made if its a drop in mod, or else much respect and gradtiude if its not.

LETS SEE IT! 😮

It did pass the bump test on the newer rifles.

It still has to be tweaked with different strength/length springs. It’s really hard to find the time right now to get this done.

You lose the first stage and end up with a VERY light weight trigger pull and as I told Sniper, it is too light right now.

Thanks, Tony

well said lurk!

… In no way shape or form should AnyOne bug tony for any other reason than to give him a brake by shootin the shit with him or to make an order, period!!!

the man is a true artiest at what he dose and his back logged work load shows it, not to mention I’m sure his family enjoys spending time with him as well 😉

…. sorry sniper, but it’s time to put up or shut up, and STOP trying to get people to bother Tony… he Does Not have the free time to answer questions that you should be answering! if you are going to give this to him to sell then fine, but it is up to you to prove it’s worth as you are the so called “inventor” not are fearless/silent/over booked leader 🙄

OK, so you are trying to get me and others to bug a busy expert into spending valuable time to perfect your unproven design. HELL NO! YOU CAN’T USE ME! Hell, you don’t even give us the slightest idea of your design.

If Toni is reading this, I hope he only gives your unproven idea a minute amount of thought.

Come on, Toni is in process of building numerous PROVEN QUALITY RIFLES for many persons including one for me. Do I want Toni to spend time perfecting your unproven design? Maybe, but I don’t like you trying to get people to bug him into answering everybodies questions.

So, why don’t you either publish your idea here an NOW and let me see if I think it merits bugging a busy expert
OR,
LET THE TOPIC DROP WITHOUT ANY FURTHER RESPONSE FROM YOU.
Who knows, maybe while no one is bugging Toni as you seem to insist on, he may find time to perfect your so far UNSEEN & UNPROVEN design.

Good answer WOK.

I understand you are resisting saying more, because it is not a proven design in your opinion. You don’t want to say how it works to keep it from being copied, kudos to you.
What I hear you saying is, it works but is not safe.

Maybe Tony will have more luck.

I put the modification in my gun but it did not pass the bump test in my gun.

Sniper said it passed the bump test in his gun

So I passed on it.

Thats all I know
