9mm / 357 cal Cricket

There is probably nothing like string. Just one or two shots.
I wonder what a shot string looks like at that tune?
One of the local lads tuned his 9mm Cricket to 210 joules / 155 fpe. Max pressure at regulator, stiffer hammer spring and opened up channels. Not bad, that’s what factory should make them.
I don’t see this more than .22 cal and more than 40 ft/lbs airguns need….

I came to this conclusion last year. I mainly use airguns for small game. I have taken opossum and coon with small bore airguns at close range but really don’t want to limit myself predator hunting.
I prefer the .17 Remington……..

And the 12 gauge with number 4 buck for fur such as coyote and bobcat. depending on terrain.

I’m not saying they won’t work, cause they will but I’m not limiting myself or passing up shots I’m not comfortable with. Plus I don’t live in the burbs any longer.
If I lived in town, you bet I’d use one! And I think the more powerful and compact airguns will shine on the trap line. I plan on trying out one next season.
Just want to apologise to the OP for getting off topic. Sorry.
That would be considered rich for most of the Chicago suburbs. My parents built their 3,200 square feet home in Carol Stream near Stradford Mall, and people thought we were rich. lol.
Compared to you being middle class in Burr Ridge, we are in the upper dirt poor class there. Just happy I moved from there.
Our kids tell us, they are moving back there when they are with college. I just laughed. I prefer be out in the country side better.
75 Hinsdale Central HS. Well maybe my parents were. 😆 We had 3 acres and a horse and some toys. There were middle class for Burr Ridge but my friends thought we were rich. I had some really rich friends and they owned stuff like horse race tracks and trucking parts businesses. They were filthy rich but i loved their toys and indoor pools growing up. :smilen:
Yes sir…Hinsidale has a lot rich folks living there and big homes and the same with Burr Ridge. Hinsdale High School, back in the days had some of the hottest cheerleaders too. We used to drool all over them. :biggrinn: Awwwhhhh the good old days!!!
I lived in Villa Park for a short time in my teens. Then moved to Glendale Heights and then moved to Carol Stream. After I got married, the wifey and I built our home in the west side of Aurora on the Black Berry Farms Estate, near Orchard Rd. Beautiful county side homes there.
Ever heard of Hinsdale/Burr Ridge? My stomping grounds for the first 20 years. 😛
Agreed, I lived and grew up in the western suburb of Chicago for 33 years. Glad I moved out of there. I miss some things there but I don’t miss the damn toll ways and the traffic. With all the money I’ve spent on the toll ways, I probably could have bought myself a couple of P12’s, Edguns, and Crickets. 👿
Just don’t hit the feeders. 😯
You are really tempting me to use my 200 fpe 9mm for pest control just to see what happens :5:
Yep, Small bores need continuos reassuring, Big Bores can stand on their on feet with confidence :biggrinn: :biggrinn: :biggrinn:
So no caressing it in solitude ? That’s mean.
Agree with rkr,
Don’t treat a Big Bore airgun like you do a Small bore

I don’t know how high the reg goes but probably 200 bar or less. Estimating about 7-10 bar / shot (my Evanix uses about 8 bar at that power) that should give 10-15 shots from a 300 bar fill before it drops off the regulator.
