I been challenged to a shoot out
Each April my two brothers meet down at the deer camp , Shoot, ride motorcycles and stuff just for the weekend, Its right dab in the Three sisters area in Texas, Example, we shot skeet once and Charles, (the one that’s challenged me, the old one) could hit nothing on the first shot, We called him dead eye, He goes back to Austin, joins a skeet club , We meet up the next year and he blows us away with his skeet shooting. LOL.
Anyway to the point , Brother said he could out shoot any of my air guns with his complete stock Ruger 10-22 just OTC shells…
I ask how far you want to shoot , He said 75 – 100 yards, Deals on ,
I have shot the 22 Cricket at 100 yards but never the 25 at 100 yards, My range at my house is at 48 yards, Looks like I make have to head to the pit and do some practicing.
Anyone else took a challenge like this against a rimfire rifle,
At 50 yards it would not be much of a challenge , I know that for sure,
I think his only knowledge of air guns is his Gamo something or another and my other brothers Ruger springer that I out shot both with my old FWB 124 a few years back…

? Since I am in the USA, (Texas) I am going to say yards, But I am a novice compared to some of these guys ,

is 100 yards or 100 meters the pcp distance test to qualify for the label Tack Driver?
I already looked at the Heids….. A guy I know in Alaska with a Triumph Tiger XC800 put them on and says they are a necessity there with the thick mud and snow. I already rode some of our gravel fire roads in the Ozarks and the roads are well maintained so these are fine until they wear a bit. I just ordered some Denali DR1’s and mounts.
I got a 2004 1000 Storm Dumped so much money in it just going to have ride to the ground, 9000, miles on it,

Yes – I have nearly every trigger on every good pistol I buy tweaked. Great guns.
Coda, Been carrying the little CZ .40 daily since I got it. Like it and after I work on the trigger a bit, i think it will be a shooter. Not bad as it is now, but the DA trigger mode still has creep and pull is a bit to hard…

Well I am back, Long story, Did the shoot out with both my brothers 10-22 rifles, At 30 yards I won by a little, I had a dime size hole And my brothers had quarter size holes, About five shots each.
Did not get to 100 yard match as my brothers kind of fluffed me off and we went on to skeet shooting and motorcycling, I really wished I would have brought the 22 cricket and not the 25 cricket.
I think the 25 fit to tight in the gun case as I had to sight it in a few times taking it in and out of the case?
Its sparrow season again , I average 20 to 25 kills Monday — Friday Weekends we all rest. LOL.
No pictures due to me loading the camera at the bottom of the case and thought I for got it, DUH!
Dang you Coda! I took your advice… went out and tried the little CZ on for size… bought a .40. soon as my holster arrives, will take a test drive at having it as my daily carry. Very nice build and good feel to it.

That Kimber (Ultra) is the next gun on my list. 😉
For me it’s the 1911 all the way. Born and raised on one in the Army. Shot on the Army pistol team back in the late 60s early 70s. Now carry a Kimber Ultra in cold weather and a Kimber Micro in warm weather.
A bone stock 10/22 is no match for the cricket! Not even my fully upgraded 10/22 can beat my cricket at 100 yards.

here is a full thread of what I did to my 10/22. Even with a fully custom trigger, stock, barrel, and match grade ammo my gun can only pull 1 5/8″ groups at 100 yds.

All depends on what caliber your shooting. I’d say 50 yards to 75 yards. 100 yards is a poke for my .22 if it’s windy. just my :2cents:
