2015 Lelya Pics?
Does anyone even know what the new Lelya’s look like? I’m referring to the one with the non-centric shroud. Some of us have been waiting for close to a year but have yet to see what might arrive in the next shipment.
Hoot on the other hand has been waiting for a century so I’m glad he got his.

Very nice work indeed .
Thanks! I try!
Sniper71 that’s is very nice work.
FINALLY!!! After all these years and posts, he decided to put more vents in that shroud….
These vents reduce the air pressure against the baffles. Less air pressure to be slowed by the baffles, equals less sound emitted from the muzzle. An adequate number of properly placed vents can produce the sound reducing effect of a much larger shroud. The Colibri does the same thing, one vent between each baffle. It’s amazing how effective this can be, if not over done. I’ll bet this Leyla is whisper quiet!

PS: I’m liking that pellet holder on the picatinny rail. I wonder how one gets his hands on such a thing? How come the Russians are smart enough to come up with this stuff…it’s downright un-American!!! š³
This eccentric moderator did not Ed. It did me. It is the old Lelia with a thin moderator. Just tube replaced by an eccentric. On the new Lelia no holes on the tube moderator.
PS: This Lelia is really quiet.I made a many eccentrics for Motador. Later I will build a theme with photos.

The problem is that we apparently have different requirements …
Ed, and his Guns , is having a hard time selling any inside the EU – the civilized part of Europe ( thus far). ThereĀ“s a good reason for it too. Ed is kinda fucked over here. ItĀ“s about time you guys on that side of the Ocean wake up too.
No worries. We are happy to help you folks out over there. Just send all those Edguns to this side of the ocean. We know what to do with them and will put them to good use.
Heary, heary ! :suprisedn:

There are some countries in Europe like UK for example where the airgun business are big numbers ……
:fishinghole:
The sentence mentioned by you is valid only for FAC market. There is energy limit in many European countries. EDgun is not popular there because of that fact.
If we are speaking FAC no doubt but we all know the difference between a FAC and a non FAC gun.
Actually the whole US market is a non FAC airgun market because you don’t need a Fire Arm Certificate to own an airgun.
And also the Matador is a non FAC airgun, apparently it is supposed to deliver 2 Joules of energy (if I recall well what Ed said one day).
But actually we are going off topic, it was not concerning if the matador is popular or not but why the matador costs much less in the US than in Europe were it is actually built and certainly it doesn’t depend solely on taxes because I don’t know any European country that taxes business 80% and if Ed produces +4000 matadors/year I don’t think they go all to the US so the big numbers theory is inconsistent.
I’m not contesting the numbers of airguns sold in the USA, it’s just that I wanted to know where an assertion like “The whole Europe market is just a fraction of USA…” comes from.

This is what Ed said last summer. No mention of numbers shipping to the US but I did ask. Only Ed or Tony knows those numbers and they might not disclose it.
Now we produce 350-360 guns a month. That makes about 4’200 a year. That is only Matadors, I don’t consider Veles, Lelay, Morana.
Since then, I think he’s moved parts of his production back to Russia due to the fall in the ruble vs euro. At least that’s what he mentioned on another forum back in the spring.
I am not sure about the economy of Russia in general but regarding my own business I can just say that I have long waiting line of those who wants to buy my guns, as well as growing up the number of the guns produced. The reason is quite simple, I decided āto stayā in Russian economy field, in ruble (Russian currency) zone. Yes, it makes me a little less profit as part of the guns are made out of Russia and I pay for them in euro, plus we need tools for CNC machines, which we pay also in euro, but all the rest of the expenditures remained in rubles and we managed to keep the price in rubles for Russian market at the same levelā¦
So I had demand grown up dramatically as the price for air guns in Russia ran up due to the raise of the exchange rate. So, as we moved the majority of the production volume back to Russia and we still operate in the ruble zone, and the Russian currency dropped down to USD and euro I can keep the same profit in rubles selling my guns for lower price in USD. So, while that situation is like that I can offer you Matadors for 1ā350 USD. If rubles goes up I will have to raise up the price in USD in the same extent as ruble will grow up, so that price is not final price, it is valid for now. As for Morana, Lelya and Veles, those who deposited for that contact Tony Rudenko and he will explain you everything regarding your orders. Hope that is good news for you š
With the best regards
Ed
PS. To other world users, the price for the guns consist of the price from the factory plus dealers interest, plus taxes, so in US the third one is almost zero in comparison to EU countries for example, so donāt push my dealer in other countries to keep the same level of the prices as in US or Russia, it is impossible.

Well a few years back the matadors were available only with an order, today very often they are in stock and the prices went down so I guess the numbers went down as well.

I have no doubt that the USA could consume most of Ed’s production. I don’t think the US market is a huge priority for EDgun. Maybe Tony has all the business he can handle or maybe it’s too much of a PITA to ship here. Regardless after waiting a year for a Lelya I have to assume we are a low priority.
I would like to know were you get those figures, may I know the source?
Would just be interesting to know the split per world regions.
Ed promised the Lelyas almost one year ago and now finally he will deliver a handful of them, are those the big numbers you are speaking about?
:fishinghole:
Shooter,,,, i do agree with you,,, i totally agree with you ,,, i can say that USA customers/ marketing has introduced EDgun matador to all the WORLD ,,, i myself became to know about EDgun from Tedsholdover videos and explanations about this gun,,, when i first time saw the EDgun i was thinking that is a firearm gun,,not airgun ,,,
the number of USA customers are bigger than anywhere (i believe) that is why Eduard is able to offer a better price for USA customers,,,this is the rule of the marketing ,,,buy more and earn more

Don’t give up trying! That style of moderator is becoming very popular for guns other than the Leyla!
Please keep us posted!
