Yes, that is true. I cannot buy a Monsoon because they only sell them on license due to the fact that the semi auto only works in full power.
The monsoon is about 6-7 years old now so nothing new about it…

I am a lefty on long guns due to eye dominance. I find the current Edgun bolt config very easy to manipulate due to its short rotation to unlock and ease of cocking. They smooth out over time too and only get better.
Ed is a lefty and I recall seeing a vid of him fast cycling a R3M. Anyway with a B pup config I find it easier to reach in to the bolt with my left hand while maintaining grip on the forearm with my strong hand (right).

Is the Monsoon built and engineering quality wise comparable to a Vulcan, Cricket, Matador, Mutant?
Would I have a real bullpub or only something similar and only adapted?
Is it the best way to go?
Would I already own a Monsoon out of warranty period then probably I would give it a try.
Fx monsoon has a bullpup Kit from guntuning, there you go, semi auto bullpup. Fit a regulator and be done with it
Sorry for you man but I’m glad to see I was not the only MAD ASS complaining about the NON EXISTING cycling problem of the R3M :whistle: .
Certainly for “mass destruction” multishot is better than single shot.
Then comes semi-auto, full auto, for close range flamethrower and for vast extensions finally nuke. 😀
You should organize occasional parties and invite TAG mates living close to you to help you “take care of your problem”.
Fx has two semi auto modles, has anyone tried bullpup’ing a Monsoon?

Gad, I had ride’s custom indexing arm and Ernest’s valve put into my older R3M; it didn’t cycle the mags. I may get convinced to “add to the collection” with these improvements, esp. the breech o ring system.
How/where do you put your pellets? Do you have one of those ugly homemade holders taped to the gun or some fancy pellet pouch? If you have a pellet pouch around your neck does not the pellets risk being damaged from it swinging around in terrain? Just wondering how it works

The Edgun company motto is ” ONE SHOT ONE TARGET”
I have never to date missed a chance of multiple kills due to the inabillity to load another pellet fast enough. Its more about target selection and understaning your game.
The R3M was a step in the wrong direction IMO as with many changes Ed made to the matador because of customer wants.
I agree w/ Cricket. Single loading is a pain when you hunt large numbers of pests. I often get paid to fill trash bags with squirrels, shoot agricultural pests; it’s part of my everyday job. It’s too efficient to use mags, especially with the auto-advance or manual advance option. If you’re not taking your eyes off of multiple animals, you’ll kill more. After thousands of kills using single vs. mag systems, there’s no comparison; I’d never opt for single if there was a choice. Volume kills need volume pellet delivery. Try and remove two dozen squirrels at a time in a vineyard or orchard and you’ll discover the advantage of being able to focus on kills, not trying to make sure you put the pellet in correctly. Multiple shots for multiple targets!
Understanding your game? Yes, they scatter in many directions, pausing for a second or two before running. Less movement=they don’t see you. Mags=less motion and fewer get out of sight. No serious exterminator wants single shots in a swarm.
I have mentioned this in other posts…that i use my right hand to hold the gun always and left hand for cocking the matador … not in the first time when i got my Edgun …i used my right hand and i found it is somehow difficult or there is something wrong…but after trying my left hand i found that there is a good balance for cocking the matador and more smooth operation…
Now tell us…what is your favorite Edgun to buy in the new prods??

please let me start by saying that I don’t say there is anything wrong, just to avoid misunderstandings…
Personally I think that if you cycle your gun regularly with your left hand then a left bolt or a bolt on the left side would be the better option (like for me right hand cycling the regular right side bolt is the better option).
Concerning “my favorite Edgun to buy in the new prods”, honestly I was waiting for a reliable semi-auto version coming from any of the major players but apparently so far no luck.
I am a big fan of single shot actions but don’t dislike multishots neither if they work properly and sometimes my preference is just “mood depending”.
Ed has a lot of new nice products coming but so far they are still “vaporware”.
The Leshiy also could be a nice option, the price seems to be right, the gun seems to be good, I still don’t know, if for a few bucks more I can have a R4M or similar then probably I will go that route.
Why not a Matador R3.5M, Cricket, Vulcan, Mutant, etc, etc?

The short R3.5W (W stands for Wonder) apparently already brought tons of improvments (cycling problem fixed by new internals, better trigger, improved internal design, etc, etc) and this is all really great and pleasant news.
Now let’s stop “dealers talk” and hear some “genuine customers talk”.
I believe everybody agrees that dealers sometimes and somehow tend to give “biased” information even though I trust Keyser completely but some positive field reports coming from experienced and respected TAG members would not harm.
(Send a R3.5W short to TAG’s Worldwide Ambassador Venerable Uncle Hoot :hoot: and one to Greg, sadly we have to exclude from this list the World’s Foremost Airguns Expert Wingmaster because of being part of the game)

The trigger can be tuned and adjusted to match every shooter’s need whether a hunter or a target shooter ( 2 stages- 1stage)
