I have had no issues. Played with the reg a lot. I’ve found that at 150 bar slinging king heavy mkii at 840 fps is very accurate. I took the reg down to 130 bar for regular kings for 900fps. 945fps showed to open up groups. Not sure what to recommend for 12ft/lbs. I had worries about the rail but POA/POI hasn’t shifted. I have bagged a lot of critters. Some larger ones. I can count on the gun and at least I feel like I got the same satisfaction with quality as people who talk about their crickets, the main other gun I wanted. I love the form factor as I have said many times. Talked with RTI directly over the phone and was very happy with their above and beyond service. So far I am totally satisfied.
U.K. Have not got them yet jman. I hope they come soon. Is the gun still performing well and accurate. I.e. No problems. Plus is the trigger ok. ?
I’ve got some more to add to my review. I’ll be throwing that out as soon as I get the time to write it up. I take it UK is going to be getting their shipment soon?
any more owners got anything to say about this pup
At first I thought the cocking effort was far too much. I would give a strong positive yank and far too often I wouldn’t even cock the gun. I am not sure if I have worked it in or if taking it apart and lubing it my way helped but it is much better now. Hopefully your follows suit and gets much easier as well.
There isn’t much RTI can do about the cocking effort without raising the price or accepting less profit margin. I’d pay another 100.00 for a “Force Reduction Valve” like Don Cothran designed. That would allow a very light hammer spring, thus reducing the cocking effort and making the gun more efficient as far as air consumption.
I still stand by my earlier statement, Yes I’d buy this gun again knowing what I do about it. The main thing I dislike is still the cocking effort.
Jman….
I agree with your assessment. I’ve not taken mine out that far yet though, but with other guns that I have, I can tell you that ‘I’ cannot consistently print 1.5 inch groups at that range. I’m not sure many can either. Lots of keyboard warriors out there…haha
Like you, I really like this gun. I’ve had no issues with it and it’s effectively quelled my desire for a .25 Cricket. Just no need at this point. This gun does exactly what I want it to, every time.
I taped the target suggly to some scrap osb board so the holes would be clearer. Ammo here is regular JSB kings right out of the tin.
Dam you shooting wad cutters , Them are some clean holes in the paper.
I to thought there would be a lot more guns in the hands of people posting,
I noticed R&L was out of the 25 cal Priest, He must have sold a bunch, wonder where there at?
No bad news is good news in my book.
Mike
I agree 100%
Rob3dr, Have you gotten to take yours out to 100 yards yet??
I only have been able to reach out that far 1 time. At first I was upset with the groupings that I posted pictures of but I took an average of the groupings with the extreme benchrest targets to use as a scoring system, specifically the last one where I used a more firm hold. I overlayed the target onto the image with a proper scaling and figured out that I got 81% of the total possible points. If you take that 81% of points and say that was what I was capable of continuing to do for 25 shots then I, in theory, would have scored around 200-205. Looking at the results of the competition that is not bad at all.
I am seriously starting to doubt that any gun/shooter can consistently print 1.5″ groups at 100 yards with a pcp. I’m sure several people will post up their best and say it is possible, I’m sure it is, but I don’t think it can happen consistently. Regardless of that I am very happy with the gun. The ergonomics are fantastic for a hunting gun. I have been saying that all along. What also makes me very happy with the gun is that it is capable of competing in competitions and holding its own.
I see people in several places saying that they don’t see the reviews or that they are waiting for the issues to get fixed. There are reviews out. IMO the gun is great. I wouldn’t hesitate for a moment to recommend the gun in .25 at all. .22 seems to be a good option as well. .177, not so sure. It has its ups and downs like any product but I haven’t found any issues. I had concerns with the rail but I have abused mine quite a bit and it is holding POA/POI.
I took it out at 50 yesterday and shot 5, 5 shot groups, bagged from the prone. Top Right was the 1st group, light hold and gusty cross winds at 10-12mph. I still had .3mils of windage dialed in from my last outing. lower right was the 2nd group, Firm hold still had that .3mils of windage dialed in. Lower left was the 3rd group, firm hold and I zeroed out the windage for this group. 4th group was in the middle, firm hold just like the third group. 5th group in the upper left I had one bad flyer. No these groups aren’t the best but they are very good for me and I haven’t seen worse performance than what you see here. I have had some much better but I wanted to just show what it has without cherry picking the best groups ever.

I’ve been more than happy with mine. Hasnt given me trouble at all. Sounds a bit odd, but aside from that, it hits hard and is accurate. I like it.
It does. If I can ever get around to making a tester I plan to try and see what results I can get at 135 bar reg. My gut tells me 150 is too damn high and it reduces the shots on reg in high power since it falls off the reg so high. I still get 60 within about a 10+- 4 ES but I think 75 would be easily achievable with a lower reg pressure and no change in fps.
Time will tell and I have been so busy with other things I haven’t tested all that I want to yet.
Ninja edit. All these figures are from a 275bar fill.
