To me, I think 25 is the all around caliber, I enjoy shooting my .22s but they aren’t close to my .25 guns performance.

Cricket
Very good question.
I think its hard to sell perfection, My Crickets were tuned by Earnest, Before I got them in my hands on them, A little heavy compared to my Mutant.
Both 22 and 25 are super guns, I have fettled with the guns and made them perfect, Even if I got a good fair price I know I would regret it.
I love simple, I love accurate, I love easy, Maybe its just the first love in the Bull Pup world ,
If and when I end up buying a Mutant 25, I will just have to put in the rotation of shooting , One week the 22 Cricket, One week the 25 cricket
one week the 22 Mutant , and so on.
I do have a favorite, Yes my favorite gun is the one I am shooting, How can you pick one 10 (rating) over another 10 rating,
I do like the hard hitting 25, I do like the shoot all day 22 and its cheaper, I do like the shortness and light Mutant,
I could go all day on this stuff.
I just hope this helps answer the questions of , WHY YOU STLL HAVE THE CRICKETS!!!!!!
And I am sure you Cricket owners under stand, And you none owners are scratching your head,
And yes the Priest has me on full alert, But I have to wait until the Mutant 25 starts to tell its story,

Don’t know why you guys interest on .25cal … im an Edgun addicted… have a .25 cal … but not interested on it… i will sell it soon .. i will keep my lovely. 22cal STD Edgun and the .22cal Short one also… i found .22cal more efficient for hunting then .25cal … as i mentioned before the .22cal has better efficiency on penetrating birds’ body…at least this is my experience… the only other calibre and new gun will buy is the Edgun .30cal and .22cal Lelya… next year… 😉

That would give you 4 very similar bullpups Mike, isn’t it time to let go of the crickets? I for sure would not like to have two .22 bullpups and two .25 bullpups that similar to each other.

Yep, I would have my deposit on a Priest , If the 25 Mutant was not in the near future,
I am hoping like hell they keep it in the price range of the 22 Mutant.
If the first reports are good I am hitting the pay Pal key.

I’m waiting on the 25 cal Mutant. :4:

All…. I have a .22 on order through R&L. I debated on .22 vs .25 and decided on the .22. I’d like to throw a .30 on there when they become available perhaps. We’ll see.
Will see how it goes. This gun isnt filling any niche for me at the moment as I’ve got a .22 Colibri and a .177 Cricket, but I thought it looked good and wanted to give it a go… !

More to come when I get it!

Glad to see this gun is getting some attention!

I have one on order. I’ll post thoughts about it when I get it. I have more than a few guns to compare it to so should be able to give a decent overview.

Looking forward to your review rob3dr.

Thanks in advance.

What caliber did you order, Is it through R&L ?
Keep us updated on the gun and any new reviews that may pop up,

R&L are taking 100 dollar deposit for the gun, I think they are aiming for Nov, 3ed, You know how that goes.

Vulcan uses .25 CZ barrel. Don’t think this gun has reached US soil yet. I think I remember october being mentioned but cannot be sure..

The more I read on this gun the more I like it, Maybe because I was so fixed on the FX before I read all the problems with the FX gun…..
I did not even no CZ made 25 cal barrels? That’s a BIG plus for me, I have a soft spot for the CZ barrel.
The price seems right, The gun seems right , What am I missing,
May be the input from Earnest or Dman,
Earnest sold me on the Cricket and then on the Mutant, I am just not getting that from this gun,
I am really wanting to pull the trigger on this gun , but something keeps telling me to wait,,
It may be the voice of the 25 Mutant calling, :confusedn:

I’m questioning the rigidity of the barrel in the shroud ……. if it’s a single point affixed is able to create POI shifting.
The barrel setup reminds me of my old P-rod.

All-in-all an interesting BP !

Dear Greg, i asked same question to gregor, person who tested this gun first. and this is what he answered.

Hi. The barrel is fixed in the back and the font. The back is fixed in rear breach, the front in the shroud. You can see this in my video when I replace the barrel…
The regulator pressure is fixed but you have two options: 125 bar and 150 bar. Standard version comes with 125 bar. You get a special spring and weight to optimize performance of the 150 bar regulator.
The POE does not change by any factor of normal use.

So it is not a Floating Barrel then?
