New 25 shorty is in stop the press……
Back in black…..
Well I got my new 25 shorty here she is.
It shoots 40 fpe, it twice as loud, but not bad.
The air tube seams, just a little bit bigger in o.d.
I really like it, even though, I’ve only ran about 4 mags of ammo.
Using Air arms 25 gr pellets, it is stacking them @ 25 yards. :biggrinn:

Now, see that is my point exactly you old goat… You shooting that paper target one shot per target every once and a while, you being such an old goat, you may not make it long enough before you either kick the bucket on us, or you forget all about what you were doing and or forget were you were with these targets; don’t you understand!!! 🙂
Now, while I hope to still have you focused here and all, might I get you to get me in your will and all? Since your so old and beat up, lets just say you could leave me your Mutant and I could finish the two targets for you. This way we could see just how these two targets all worked out…
For that matter, you could even send me your Mutant now, that way there would be no wait for all this, so as to see the outcome, nor would we have any issues with your family thinking I’m taking advantage of you! 🙂

I’m surprised at the confusion. I thought I had explained it thoroughly. Remember I’m old…74, and I am slower than you young bucks that shoot all five shots in one sitting. I can’t keep up that pace because I’ll fall asleep before I finish.
Meanwhile, rest assured the Mutant Shorty .25 is a tack driver, based on my recent accuracy undertaking!

Today, I placed two targets, one at a measured 50 yards and one at a measured 100 yards, and shot for accuracy.
With my .25 Shorty set at 880 fps, using a bench rest, 25gr JSB pellets, both targets ended up with just one reasonably small hole!!!
Weather permitting, I hope to fire the other four shots at each of these targets tomorrow….

You may or may not need an LDC, I want my airgun as quiet as possible whilst still looking great. But if you place an LDC on a Long…then that bitch is gonna be reeeeeeaaaaalllllyyyyy long.

You make a very interesting point, and one I have pondered on. I have no doubt I will like it. Whats not to like about the shorty or the standard, for that matter.
My biggest problem is me myself! I get the standard, later along comes the Long. I will have more than a few reasons why not to sell the standard and get the long and have both!
I am my worst enemy when it comes to things like this!

My dearest Hoot, you ought to keep in mind that those 5 shots shot strings taken over the course of hours…to days that the wind may be constantly changing. That’ll account for your lack-luster results. You’ve got your alibi.
