.25 Marauder
I bought a .25 Marauder from a wholesaler and it is due in Friday. Has anyone else received one yet?

I ordered some Crow Magnums and JSB Kings, both 25gr. I am looking forward to seeing how they group and how they perform on the varmints. 😀 Crosman recommends the JSB, and Cygnus X has had good sucess with the Crow Magnums…I’ll post my results.:D

Yes, on page 3. 😆
It seems like a lot of bang for the buck. I’m curious to know what it does at longer ranges.
(resistance breaking down; gotta stay strong!)
Did I tell you mine is coming tomorrow !!

Thanks; will be awaiting patiently. 🙂
Machine Gun, I’ll be going to the outdoor range soon, & post some new pics of groups the 50 yards & more stay tuned. 😀
mamcrackin, ya I do need to get more of a bell curve in my string. 😀
Things I’m going to do this gun, now that I see its a keeper.
Get more mags for it, they being sold now. 😀 I want to try some 37gr pellets also. Maybe a reg when they make one for the 25, longer air tube to the end of shroud.
And last turn the gun into a bullpup.
I got this gun with that in mind.
Sounds like a plan foxback.. All in good time….
Nice work on the rat Steve. Only good rat is a dead one, lol.

It is definitely making some power and the groups look good foxback… I
might suggest that you back off on the hammer spring adjustment screw to
get a smooth power curve through the string….. I know it may be a little less
power but it will be easier to stay on target through the string…. Get the H&N
24.38gr to start at around 870.. It should peak around 900 and then back
down to 870… Just a thought..
What do you think the accuracy would be at say 50 yds?
More M-rod 25. numbers.
I made a homemade de-pinger for M-rod.
Works great, & no more ping at all.
Now I have all my setting maxed out. So I tried higher fill pressure.
Filled the gun to 3100 and no lock.
So now this gun really seams to like this psi & settings. And responded with some nice gains in fpe.
So here we go:
24 gr #3 buckshot now is over 900 ft/sec with.
937 -46 fpe
903 -46 fpe
921 -45 fpe
916 -44 fpe
909 -44 fpe
902 -43 fpe
893 -42 fpe
Here is a pic of how the buckshot groups at 25 yards, each square is one 8 shot clip. It shot the buckshot, better than the 24.38gr H&N pellets.

24.38 gr h&N pellet:
921 -45fpe
917 -45fpe
911 -44fpe
899 -43fpe
892 -43fpe
884 -42fpe
876 -41fpe
31 gr H&N 2 clip string on this one.
886 -54fpe
879 -53fpe
879 -53fpe
876 -52fpe
870 -52fpe
862 -51fpe
856 -50fpe
849 -49fpe
841 -48fpe
830 -47fpe
825 -46fpe
811 -45fpe
801 -44fpe
785 -42fpe
778 -41fpe
765 -40fpe
43gr pellets
766- 56fpe
766- 56fpe
767- 56fpe
775- 57fpe
772 -56fpe
774 -57fpe 😯
774- 57fpe
768- 56fpe
I stop here with one clip string, because I only have 8 more 43gr
pellets left.
Now I like to try a trick when shooting round ball.
I like load up two at a time & shoot them at once, it really packs a punch. And shoots them good also that way, they’ll snake eye, or go side, by side.
Two round balls = 48gr.
754- 60fpe
750- 59fpe
Stopped playing at this point.
So anyone thinking of getting a 25. M-rod, do it this gun rocks. 😀
It will shoot good groups & makes nice power.
Wow the .25cal is really putting the hurt on the rat population…. Bet this will
be on the Front page of the “Morning Rat News”
Congrats Steve…. That is what it is all about…. You have a that Marauder
performing like a champ….
I just bagged a large rat with my .25 Marauder. Screw the .22’s! Even
with a domed 20gr pellet, (910fps), the entrance and exit wounds are
huge! Just too cool 😀 I took the scope off of my TSS, which is zeroed
for 24 feet, and installed it on my Marauder. I then made a few minor
adjustments. I got a rat visitor almost immediately after putting out the
peanut butter. Just too cool! 😀
Entrance…between shoulder baldes

Exit …right side thorasic cavity

I’m liken this .25! This 20gr domed pellet did a great job. I can’t wait to
try some .25 caliber Crow Magnums! 😀
short wrench. Otherwise you need a long wrench.
I have been shooting 65 yards and getting decent results with the 30gr Kodiaks. I put a small tuna fish can on the hillside across the street from me. It is 65 yards. There is a steady breeze today that I think has blown a few shots off course. However, many more shots have connected with the can and it is becomming torn up pretty good. I’ll try to get some pics later.

hmmmmm
I wonder if you could fit a .177 cal predator inside the cup on a .25 crow magnum? 😈 😈 Double duty pellet and heavy too 😀
If not, the .177 cal pred could prolly be cut in half at the waste and then it might fit!
