.25 Marauder
I bought a .25 Marauder from a wholesaler and it is due in Friday. Has anyone else received one yet?

People put their names on things when they are proud of them. I have a Benjamin 392 that has performed very well for 18 years. So, I actually like that it says “Benjamin” in big letters. Especially after finding out how well it performs. Honestly, I was skeptical. But my .25 has done well so far. I also like the little “B’s” on the pistol grip.
Today I was chasing a can on a hillside at 60+ yards…with not too much hold over. That was cool. I am enjoying the accuracy and punch of the .25.
However, I can see where someone would not like the name so prominently etched on the stock.
FB; maybe you need a longer 1/8″ allen key/wrench? Just a thought.
I’m tempted but I hate the way they put their name on these guns!
Did anyone say ‘tacky’? 😯
With my new M-rod I can not see how to adjust, the pre-load adjuster.
I look at the manual, it says use a 1/8 allen wrench.
Well I see in the pic 11B in the manual were to use the wrench.
In the same big 1/4 for the hammer adjuster spring.
So what gives? 🙄
How can a 1/8 allen, work in a 1/4 hole?? 🙄
It just goes all the way in, & does nothing. 😕
It goes through the 1/4″ hole.. Keep going until you hit the 1/8″ allen head
adjustment screw…. You just didn’t stick it in deep enough. 😯
Ok, question for anyone that know about the M-rod.

Mine will be here on Monday …. 😀
Later
behind the hammer spring to put more pressure on the hammer spring…
yeah and if you put one to many the weak peace of shit valvestem will bend….yay for theoben using the most crappy steel they could find…
I just thought of this and not sure it it can be done but, my rapid has washers
behind the hammer spring to put more pressure on the hammer spring…
Hammer time with my new 25. M-rod.

Over all I like this gun. And it is a air hammer.
I need more time for tuning of the gun.
But out of the box the gun was making about 37 fpe, using 24.38 gr H&N pellets.
Here is a small shot string of different ammo I used.
My fill psi was 190- 200bar. And with the port wide open & the adjuster all the
way in.
24.38 gr. H&N
894- 43 fpe
890- 42 fpe
881- 42 fpe
876- 41 fpe
31gr. H&N
853- 50-fpe
847- 49 fpe
844- 49 fpe
837- 48 fpe
And to my surprise this gun like to shoot #3 buckshot & almost at 900 ft/sec too.
24gr. #3 buckshot
893- 42 fpe
892- 42 fpe
886- 41 fpe
882- 41 fpe
872- 40 fpe
868- 40 fpe
Now the good part, the magazine will work with the 43gr Eun Jin pellets.
43 gr
759- 55 fpe 😯
761- 55 fpe
763- 55 fpe
Here is a 7 shot group using 43gr Eun Jin pellets at 25 yards.

I still have a lot to learn from this gun, & how to tune it.
But shoots good groups & is a real air hammer at 55 fpe.
With more tuning & just a stronger hammer spring the 25. M-rod could hit 60 fpe. 😯
Hi Cyg, the erratic groups were produced with the 20gr FTS pellets. Also I am a lousy shot 🙁 but, I still learnig; I haven’t given up yet!)
A Crosman rep suggested 25gr JSB pellets for better accuracy. Mamcrackin suggested slowing down the 20gr FTS pellets to try and get better accuracy. I’ll try that too. I want to try some Crow Magnums on some ground squirrels so I can be just like you:D
i see some great groups…and i see some bad ones….whats up with that…are you shooting offhand or is it just the fts’s it doesn’t like ?
The tank ping disappears…entirely! Just too cool. 😀 No, I didn’t lose any from the shot count. Louder? Maybe? I was shooting today and it didn’t sound very loud to me. I was thinking that people shouldn’t be hearing much noise.
frakking awesome….and your absolutely right….its a .25….it doesnt carry a 400 or 500 cc bottle it has a limited tube, and awesome shroud…and perfect power and accuracy……
if you want more sure get a Crapid….chance of getting a good rapid is about the same as getting a good mrod….50/50 ?
steve you got a perfect shooter there…dont ever give it away
Did I lose shots? Probably. Shot count is not that important to me. It is a .25 after all; I expect to lose, or not have that many shots to start with. I was looking for 800 to 850fps with 30gr Kodiaks. This gun is shooting between 800 to 850 for 16 shots…two magazines. I’ll take that. 😀

Thanks mamcrackin & Steve for your help. 😀
Steve did it help alot with the ping, & did you lose any shots? 🙄
And did your gun get any louder, going to a 51 fpe gun, than from a stock gun?
FB; Congrats! 😀 The tube clearing the magazine is one consideration. The other consideration is whether or not the objective lens will clear the bore. That being said, the magazine sticks up above the reciever 0.430″…so, 1/2″ clearance will do you…if the objective lens clears the top of the barrel.
I went to Home Depot and bought 1 foot of 1 3/4″ clear vinyl tubing that has almost 1/4″ wall thickness. I used a piece 2″ long that I cut a section out of the center of the tubing that would allow it to curl up tight enough to fit inside of the tube. I pushed that half way down the air resivior.
Here is a how to video link:
I hope that you like yours as much as I like mine. 😀
