.25 Rifle build
I’ve decided to build a .25 rifle based around the Buckley bottle gun, mainly since I had a bottle left over from my talon days.
This is going to be my rock chuck gun, so power and accuracy are primary goals, hoping to push some of the mr hollowpoint pills to good velocity.
shooting will be done from rock jacks at ranges from 40 to 75+ yards.
I ordered a .25 LW barrel from tim1 and some alum. from online metals
I intend to shroud it ala marauder and hope to keep the noise down to a reasonable level
got a start on the receiver today, this will probably take way to long to complete (20 month old daughter, work, wife, starting school again, blah blah) but I will document it here as I make progress.

“There are two books:
Book 1
The Modern Pneumatic Airgun: a step by step guide to building your own – £30 plus £13 air mail or £8 surface mail USA / rest of the world; £6.50 Europe and £4.50 UK (big book and expensive mail)
Book 2
The Modern Pneumatic Airgun: Making the modern stock reservoir rifle – £20 plus £6 air mail to USA / rest of the world; £5.00 air mail to Europe and £4.00 to UK.
For both books the postage costs are £16 air mail or £9.00 surface mail to USA/ rest of the world and £9.00 air mail to Europe.
There is information on the airgundevelopment.com website

there are 2 pretty good books out by the same guy, H.M. Buckley
the first one is “the modern pneumatic airgun” which is a very detailed build of the “standard” under the barrel reservoir style rifle.
The second one is what mine is based on, “making the modern stock reservoir airgun” not as detailed as it’s more of a add on to the first book

Finally got more time in the shop, got the first baffle/muzzle brake done

made a shroud adapter base, goes next to the receiver and also a shroud guide/first baffle a la the mrod.
It’s not quite finished yet, waiting on a 5C collet for my spin index so I can drill some nice evenly spaced holes.
