Q:

257 Cast Bullet Convesation

Here’s a strange question- these TJ barrel liners- are they okay to be used as is? or do they need to be sleeved? Just wondering.

I’m actually hoping to buy a valve from you Dyotat! What barrel do you suggest for your valve? 1:10 or 1:14 twist? I’ll be shooting only the 257420 cast bullets, and probably modifying another 257420 mold to cast hollowpoints. What I’m hoping to do is use a stock AF tank, and tether a 68 cu in 4500 psi tank using Tony’s adapter… Thoughts on a good output pressure for the 68/4500?? I’ll be using a 28″ barrel. If I were to order a valve from you, would I just ask for a .257 specific valve? Thanks for everyone’s help and input!

I make the .257 .375″. That is why I use a .308 valve with different stem ID.

You can make it the same as a .25 and use .25 valve but you won’t get the same fps.

What is the OD of the barrel at the breech end for the TJ barrels? same as the stock AF barrels? what is that measurement? Thanks again all!! :8:

No they are perfect for Airguns. They are what you order.

I won’t even waste my time with a LW barrel. They are not a .25 barrel. So if you cut the choke off you will have to shoot .254″-255″ slugs.
