Any interest in a group buy for custom bullet molds?
I recently talked to Jerry about copying the surefire design since he will no longer be making slugs. I know that NOE makes custom moulds of 15 or more. I am still waiting to hear back from Gary Barnes who Jerry said actually designed them, With his OK, I figured we could move foward if there is enough interest. So what do you guys think ?

Thanks Doug,Thats sounds like a good place to start. If I get the OK from Gary Ill move foward on that. Thanks for the suggestion,I didnt realize I could have someone make a single mold.
How does NOE go about this? Do you get to test before they cut 15 molds?
Here’s the problem I see. If they don’t make it exactly right you are going to have 15 molds that don’t work.
Why don’t you send a slug to Veral and have him make you a mold. That way it’s only one mold your dealing with.
Thanks Doug,I appreciate the offer and may take you up on that but I am really interested in seeing if guys are as interested in the surfire slugs as I am. I have a smooth twist barrel as well as my TJ barrel to shoot these with.
I have a .25 mold that lbt made. If you want to try some let me know.

I agree many details would need to be worked out and this just an informal question asking how many people may be interested. Im a blue collar guy and couldnt afford to do it all on my own.I am not even saying it will be in my hands to handle this,maybe a more well known member of the community would want to be in charge.Im fine with that. I just want to buy the molds since I can not buy the slugs anymore.
I may be interested if things pan out. We talking a single size? Can the mold be cut to size? There’s details to work out.
If someone else is going to make the molds,Id be in for that. Im just interested in having Jerrys type slugs again and figure getting molds made will be the best way to make that happen. Since Jerry gave his OK and if Gary gives his OK then I figured the design was given to the community and we should all be able to make them if we so choose.
We have another member looking at doing somthing with them as well. But it’s kinda hush-hush at moment.
Gary was a fine Custom Knife Maker back in the day. Don’t know if he still makes any between custom Air Guns now days.
