Q:

Best Ammo Choice For .25 AAA Condor

I would like to know what is the the best ammo to run through one of these guns to get max distance and energy when it hits. I’m wanting to shoot for consistence at 100 yards with some knock down force still. If i could get a few different makers and what grain size you would go with to achieve all this please let me know thanks.

Picture looks good to me, slammed that pot!

here it is I hope, first attempt at this picture thing

I see I’m not the only guy that has a use for old cookware. 😆 I think we need pictures of that pot.

RJ,
trying them in an un-choked barrel will be good. We’ll see if the design just won’t scale down or if it’s the choke upsetting the slugs.

hey jerry i still have those 22 cal slugs u sent me i may have enough to do some testing with my unchoked 18in condor ill let u know the outcome of my findings

Jerry,

I will send you all I recover to do my part of recycling, when I reorder. Those 7 rings smash through an 8 inch round 1/8 inch thick stock pot @ 120 yards. I couldnt wait for the chrony to start testing. Anyway for accuracy so far I’d say there pretty good, I hit the pot every shot off a bi-pod and flimsy picnic bench. I haven’t tried the 6 or 9’s yet.

quote Jerry:

Wow! We can fix those!

putting them back in the pot doesn’t count as “fixing” them Jerry

Wow! We can fix those!

CSI Surefire….

I have had them expand to 1″ easy!!! And their BC is quite nice to put a hurt’n on someones cat =) Just kidding! Sort of. If you like cats.

The .22s were discontinued as the ring design (meant to cope with choked barrels) did not scale down well and accuracy results were not good enough for our brand. We still hold the .22 mold and would be willing to make slugs for guys with choke free barrels (as a test) but .22s are back burner things for us.

The .25s are ultimate power slugs. The design works well enough in choked barrels that some guys are getting acuracy as good as or better than Kodiaks. Guys with barrels that are not choked will probably see better accuracy with the slugs but might lose some accuracy with regular pellets.

I’ve yet to see any other .25 heavy slugs that deliver the energy on target and accuracy of the Barnes slugs by Surefire.

if you want to “destroy” stuff then surefire all day!

Jerry is a good guy to deal with try the slugs they hammer stuff!
They did not work out for me in my .22 gun but they are supposed to be the winner in .25

JSB Kings for ultimate accuracy.(need to be kept around the 950 fps mark)
Or Surefire slugs(PM Jerry) for good accuracy and great knockdown power.
