Blowguns!
So I decided to try out a blowgun after looking at the aoa blog to help a friend adjust his power level after, ahhh nevermind.
BUt anyways I have no idea what to order, 5 foot, 4 foot, 50 cal, 625 cal(what I think I want)

Also I doubt Im going to be stealth warrior ninja, and read you can coat them(darts) in something for hunting?

SO it came today,and first thing I did was pop a stun dart at a friend, said it hurt like hell.
My favorite darts are the mini broadheads, all metal seem durable and sharp. The big broadheads are duuuuull, and the bamboo ones are just for practice. I already taped a flashlight to it, and tonight Im gonna go down to the lake and get some sh!t.

Lots of game has fallen to bamboo darts so dont discount them!
As for your intended quarry…. I’d say shit would be a bit too easy. Also, I wouldnt want my mouth near the dart after spearing a turd. Perhaps you should just stick with frogs. 😆

I had all the blow guns through out my life in calli, and yes they are a no, no there. all of my childhood ones were home made but I did buy a nice one at the flee market in my early twenties, and had to have all the darts that I ordered sent to a friend out of state then forward to me… fuckin lame if you ask me!
I was given a blowgun when I was 15 from a very close friend. I had it for years. Surpriseing what they could do. I once pierced a taxi cabs tire with mine. He was parked blocking the driveway. So I opened up my window loaded a plain wire dart. launched it into his tire from about 30′ closed my window and no one was the wiser. He never blocked our driveway again 😈
I also used the same blowgun to get afriend of mine so baked he had to call his mom to take him home. but that is a story for another time.

In sixth grade, I got sent home after an incident in the cafeteria:
My first blowgun was a few straws, taped together. The darts were made from some kind of thick grass stem. A needle with the head cut off was pressed and glued up front. I took a certain type of feather from my parakeets, curved breast feathers which were all over the cage bottom, and glued four of them onto the stem. No shit, that little rig was nasty.
Anyway, this girl was teasing me at lunch time, so I drilled her lunch bag with a dart. She shut up pretty quick. Unfortunately, the cafeteria monitor saw this and I got some time off from school.
Since this forum is home to a slew of mad inventors, here’s a chance to design/redesign the dart itself. While cones work, they are not as efficient as the traditional darts. The natural material darts are designed to expand when air hits them from the back side (in the blow pipe) and they collapse backwards a bit in flight, making them more streamlined. The cones are not ideal in this respect.
Might be a use for crows after all; quite a variety of potential “fletching”.
A friend of mine is visiting in April; he’s got a sweet blow gun from Borneo. Will try to get a pic.
Saw, if you go through a background check, take a mental exam, pay a huge fee, get twenty people to vouch for your sanity, take the local judge out to a fancy restaurant and bribe your congressman/woman, you just might be able to get a permit for a blowgun!

anyway, this blow gun thing, I once made one from
a 3′ piece of copper pipe, the dart was made from a 4 penny
brad nail and a cone of masking tape
basically, I made a cone of tape on the brad, trimmed it for a
snug fit
shot a tweaty bird at about 30′ or so, right in the fuse box

A .62 CS mounted in a Paintball gun.
They make a co2 adapter for these blow guns it is a squeeze handle the fits into the bore and a co2 cart goes in it. No need for using lungs then!
And two more things, where should I start, and where should I end, I want to reshape my mrod stock, and the buff it and duracoat it. What sand paper should I grab?
Also I want something cheap to watch the bird feeder that will give me an alert or something while Im working at home. ANy prooducts like this?
