Blowguns!
So I decided to try out a blowgun after looking at the aoa blog to help a friend adjust his power level after, ahhh nevermind.
BUt anyways I have no idea what to order, 5 foot, 4 foot, 50 cal, 625 cal(what I think I want)

These seem to be nice, I was thinking maybe the 5foot 2 piece one?
Also I doubt Im going to be stealth warrior ninja, and read you can coat them(darts) in something for hunting?

….and guess what? Blowguns are a blast. I’ve got a typical 30-something caliber and a big bore from Cold Steel.
Accuracy…. goes easily to the smaller blowgun. It is not near as loopy and I can hit critter sized things easier with it.

for knockdown and devastation, the 625 is king. I cant get to it here at work, but I have a pic at home of a small chipper I nailed with the 625… my first and only kill with it.

So I have the two piece 625 five foot model in my cart, from cold steel, but amazon doesn’t really carry any of their darts so I will order that from the cold steel site.
I am gonna start practicing when I get it, and I hope I will be able to hit squirrel off the bird feeder with the stun dart, or maybe a broad head. 😀
cuare and aconite are two traditional dart and arrow poisons but you will have to garden the herbs to aquire them these days
you used to be able to purchase intocastin over the counter at Vet supply shops, pharmacy grade Cuare
played with it in the past mixing it with common grade school mucilage glue and painting it on broadheads
the Japanese used a shellfish based toxin
others in South America used toads and frogs
biggest issue is these days it IS a federal Felony to weaponize subtances
you can have raw castor beans but you start grinding them up and doing an extract you can expect harsh treatment by the Federal courts if caught
been that way since the 90s

Idk Im just thinking of trying the 625 cal out for the heck of it, and the squirrels on the bird feeder are idiots, I can walk within 10 feet before they stop eating. Wish I had damn 32 cal, or a new scope on the mrod so I could get them. But for now expedited shipping on a blowgun shall do.
Amazon doesnt have the right “multi darts” though which look cool.
Reading on a forum some guy got some good pattern at 10 yards so we shall see.
Do you like the 625 though? Good quality?
