Just Tired of listening to all the crying old ladies on how the EBR is rigged for FX guns to win, how Ted’s gun is made of gold, how no other gun will be aloud to win because sales would go down.

In Texas winning is I shot my toe off, reached down to cut the end of the toe off with a sharp knife and cut my dam finger off,

…probably cannot challenge in the speed contests, though. I don’t think a person with a rear-cocking lever could beat out Shane, I think it is/was last year with the Impact’s side-cocking lever. That I admit is built for speed. I’d love to see a Huben or other semi-auto step in at that point.

EBR is set up by AOA but anybody can enter and once you start competing it doesn’t matter who set up the comp, if you and your gun are better you’ll win.

There’s credence in the notion things are askew concerning ebr, as they are. Ain’t nobody making excuses but rather voicing their opinion on what’s really what. NP probably knows this best so why the comment I don’t quite get. And as far as AOA, I don’t care much for them either. When I first got started in this hobby I had a very simple question to ask them. Not knowing better I allowed myself to wait in line on the phones for damn 40 minutes to talk to someone as I needed to rush ship a part right away and figured 2 hours away from me would get the part in my hands fastest in shipping. Well, that kind of a wait and the shit ass answer/help I got lost a potential customer from the start. Shit, I would have gone there with a damn chip on my shoulder. That shit doesn’t aid in any sportsman like conduct and I didn’t want to fuck with that. Really, there was no need.
Donny’s cool. Yea – some of the contestants aren’t a part of the FX/AOA advertisement but some are. It’s all about the money. There isn’t much discussion there I bet about the rampant production problems with the Impact. :winkn:
Basically. Hell, I hated to duck out on Mr. Donny Du as I was intending to go ONLY TO MEET HIM and to hell with the competition and AOA circle jerk. No excuses except springing my stepdad out of that prison of a fucking physical therapy after his leukemia caused surgery landed him there and the place is a god damned fucking front for stealing Medicare/Tricare money and also just plum not wanted to drive 2 hours as I’ve been so god damned busy I decided to stay home and sleep! Fuck the circle jerkin’ the gurkin’.
And ain’t nobody talking shit about the contestants and their abilities, but rather questioning the guns and/or sponsership. I saw the ustream feed from the AOA banquet. I didn’t miss jack shit and god damned proud to have chosen family over that shit. My only regret is not meeting Donny and his family as he did man up and fly from FL to AZ. Just not to compete but show he supports the community of his peers and his customers.
The “Extreme” competition is just an AOA/FX advertisement since after the first year when WW was involved. The point is just to sell more FX airguns. It’s rather boring at this point.

Sorry fellas I didn’t step up to the plate. I never did talk shit anyway as I’ve since stopped shooting the past 3 months leading up to EBR. Doubt I would have competed anyway and not like I’d win but really, 100 yards MOA isn’t a hard feat with the Taipan. I was intending after the golfball shit to go shoot a 5-10 shot string at 100 last I went out with my son but he wanted to hunt birds and I was plum fucking tired of video taping anything anymore. That’s not my bag, baby. Not excuses, just that damned simple truth. Not like I won’t stop speaking …or typing my mind on the matter, though.
Short answer to the thread title, “can” the Taipan compete, hell fuck yeah the airgun is more than capable. WILL anyone ever show up at the event to compete with one? Probably not. If anyone should it would be the creator, advertisers for the gun or a reseller. I’ve got nothing to prove. The fucking gun speaks for itself. Bottom line is the Taipans are top notch in the accuracy department and that’s no secret.
