Cricket accuracy review

This is my first review and accuracy test on my cricket I got before Christmas. I did put a Synthetic stock and pod on it Friday and did some indoor shooting. I have gotten better shooting this as I’m a first time pup user. As you will notice which groups turned out the best were the last ones as they will speak for themselves. Test were done inside with decent light but my right eye had problems focusing but all in all I’m happy with the gun as it shoots great. Thanks Peter for the great sale! will leave you some feed back.
SO the smaller targets are at 50 and the bigger targets at 60 yards. I did shoot two 14 shot groups at 60 yards which will show a bigger hole in the target.
Hopefully link will work for you guys. Pictures of gun come first then the targets. Enjoy

Did some indoor 53 yard shooting this weekend and got some nice results from cricket shooting Edgun 18g using bypod and using truck tailgate as rest.
All are 5 shot groups and most are under a dime size.

I like the red on white bullseys on those targets, mind sharing where they came from ??

Not shabby Burgaw; that’s squirrel accurate! You’ll like the Tack Driver and may find using the combo’s rear and the T D front will be a good mix. The TD is a bit heavy, even filled w/ rice. Haven’t tried walnut shells yet.

Thanks Bog, I’ve had shooting bag rests on my mind for a while and saw where you posted above about the Tack Driver. Been considering the Deadshot combo and figured what the hell….and went for it via Ebay.

I also picked up a fairly cheap rear bag for $11.86 shipped in case I liked the Tack Driver better than the Deadshot? That way I’ll have two rear bags. Saw a 40 or 50 pound bag of rice at Costco the other day for $18.00, might have to go back and get one?
It’ll be great to have two shooting bag set ups for me and the Miss’s to play our shooting/drinking games with 😉

and wine corks….some our favorite targets to shoot at for our drinking games

EEXELLENT shooting EELECT!!!!!
Below are my best shooting off a Caldwell Matrix shooting rest. I just ordered a couple of the bags via Ebay …… the Deadshot combo, and a Tackdriver.
I’ll have to improve my skills before venturing to the 50 and 60 yd ranges.

Damn right ! 😯

Maybe we should ask Hoot: to get together a big group buy. A big pile of money is easier to see than a little pile. And when it comes to piles, and meaning ALL kinds of piles, you know who “the man” is….

That’s weird why would the .25cal pellets be harder to get that the 22. Maybe I’ll find that out too with next order of pellets. Fingers crossed

No – he tells me to contact Ed. I did , twice , but it’s the same story as with the spare parts : still waiting the answer to three, four e-mails i send him back in May.
Well, now i have no use for those .22 pellets anymore but i’d love to get 10-20 tins of .25 cal. from the same Batch as the Whineymans came from.
I just don’t feel for chasing a Ghost anymore – did enough of that while trying to get parts for those Eddie’s of mine.
Have i ever mentioned how the EG customer service suck ??

Can’t you get .25 Cal pellets from Tony. I buy a whole case of Edgun .22 pellets at a time and they are the cheapest by far. Works out to 12 bucks a 500 tin

A little while ago i received a suspicious looking package from New Zealand and after i´d gathered enough courage to open it i found a Tin of pristine EG pellets in cal. 25 inside – Thanks again Whineyman, NZ !! :ugeekn:

Anyway – i´ve only shot three mags of those to date and they shoot very accurate, more so than plain JSB`s, at 50m.
To my understanding the EG pellets undergo an extra QC before tinned thus being of a better quality. :2cents:

Now my biggest gripe is that this precious Tin is all i have so i´ll use them sparingly and only shoot them during summertime and when the winds blow from south/southwest …

The Jsb and Edgun pellets are very close in comparison. But what I do notice on my Rainstorm. 22 the JSB have less drop 50 or more yards. Maybe we see slightly better accuracy out of the edgun pellets is because they end up going down stream a little slower.

Eelect,

fine shooting, especially as a “new” gun. I’m finding that pod shooting often improves if you tuck a old leather glove in the front prong. Better groups came from a front Caldwell Tack Driver bag, filled with rice, but for hunting, the “bench” isn’t usually practical.

Do you, or anyone, know if the .22 Edgun pellets are different/better than the JSBs?

Great to have an indoor range when the weather sucks.
