Q:

Cricket regulated airspace increaser "Spacer"

Hi,

here is first pictures of “Spacer” prototype.

and what it does… it increases regulated airspace and shows you what is the regulated pressure. When i did test to hst adjuster i noticed that after airtube pressure dropped below regulator setting, shots fps increased . especially when using higher regulator pressure setting. i also wanted to see what is my regulated airspace pressure (regulator setting pressure), now this “spacer” shows it to me and i can adjust if i need, also i see does my regulator work right. sometimes it must clean and set it again to right pressure.

this is just proto and there is coming out a some spacers, if someone is interested. production version is better pressure gauge (with psi readings), it is aligned just there where stock ends and i’ts also anodized to black and i’ts tested to 300 bar (~4300 psi).

Prototype is not achieved its “production” version and here it is. There is a lot of doing after i can sell it, i must do pressure tests and also the right pressure gauges is coming from the US. Then i must assembly it before it’s ready.

after long time there is now availeble more tested units, price is 110$ including shipping.

I posted instructions on first post, i hope that helps.

Thanks sir ville

The threads are done so it will set itself in the right position once screwed all the way in. A nice detail.
I’ll send you the mounting instructions provided by Imppu (which i never used anyway.. ๐Ÿ˜‰ ) so you can see how it can be adjusted should it not end up the right way by itself.

Maybe a dumb question but I have not worked on the bugs yet, how does the orientation of the gauge get to be right since the assy. is just threaded into the air tube. Do you have to loosen the air tube clamp screws and do this or is this component indexed with the breech retention screws ???

Installed mine while eating Supper. Took about 20 minutes including the bleeding of the tube. Very easy operation – not that any operation on the Bug is complicated but anyway. Hereยดs a couple of Pics of the usual brilliantly bad quality but you all get the point i hope :

Pics are on my dropbox and it lags sometimes, now pics is fine. And yes if needed more info you can send me pm.

It sits on the right side -like in the pic- and out of the way. Imppu will sure send to UK – e-mail him for more info. If you need his regular e-mail then send me a PM.

EDIT – Where did the pics go, Imppu ?? ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

Any pics if it fitted to a .25 lads very intresting which position does the gauge sit once fitted to another gun to see if gauge sits where it does on the first pics and can u ship to uk ???

Mine arrived today. They look very well made – like all the stuff made by Imppu. Iยดll try to find the time to test one during the weekend and ,of course , report my findings …

Short sunday shoot…

Regulator setting 130 bar, HST v2 full in, RAI,

JSB Exact 1.645 g
45 shot
high 310 m/s ~ 79 J
low 305 m/s ~ 76 J

Also tested 5 shots with rangemaster 2,33 g average 269 m/s ~ 84 J

I get mine for mainly two reasons : I’ll know when the gun is about to go off reg and i have an easy way to monitor so the reg is working constantly at its set pressure.
If needed i can also wind up the power to very high level and still have the shots regulated. It also makes the .25 better looking since the airtube/shroud will be approx the same length by the muzzle. The RAI will stick out 8mm further than the OEM shroud but that is easily fixed with a 10mm longer CF shroud if those 8mm/ .3 inch feels like a big faux pas.

Hi,

Answer to your question is on the first post.
“When i did test to hst adjuster i noticed that after airtube pressure dropped below regulator setting, shots fps increased . especially when using higher regulator pressure setting. ”

This RAI gives you higher benefit to use higher regulator settings.

Hi Imppu,

please allow me to ask for some clarifications….

Besides the fact to be able to read directly the air pressure in the “regulated airspace of the cylinder” and therefore knowing if your regulator is doing fine and/or seeing if the airgun needs to be refilled…. and this is already GREAT.

To my understanding it increases also the amount/quantity of regulated air available for the shot but why could I need to increase the amount of regulated air? Is it useful for those shooting really at highpower in order to have the possibility to shoot really hard but still being able to use a regulator?

Thanks in advance. ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€

ATB

Same unit fits for all Crickets where airtube outer diameter is 38 mm and it is same airtube diameter for all Cricket series, but lenght is different. The spacer or fancyer name RAI (Regulated Airspace Increaser) adds airtube lenght 68 mm.

Answer to question is, Yes it will fit .22 also.

Is that just for the 25 cal or will do them for 22 Cals as well?
