Q:

Cricket regulated airspace increaser "Spacer"

Hi,

here is first pictures of “Spacer” prototype.

and what it does… it increases regulated airspace and shows you what is the regulated pressure. When i did test to hst adjuster i noticed that after airtube pressure dropped below regulator setting, shots fps increased . especially when using higher regulator pressure setting. i also wanted to see what is my regulated airspace pressure (regulator setting pressure), now this “spacer” shows it to me and i can adjust if i need, also i see does my regulator work right. sometimes it must clean and set it again to right pressure.

this is just proto and there is coming out a some spacers, if someone is interested. production version is better pressure gauge (with psi readings), it is aligned just there where stock ends and i’ts also anodized to black and i’ts tested to 300 bar (~4300 psi).

Prototype is not achieved its “production” version and here it is. There is a lot of doing after i can sell it, i must do pressure tests and also the right pressure gauges is coming from the US. Then i must assembly it before it’s ready.

if anything I just like that it made the air tube same length as the barrel. That’s the only thing holding me back from buying .25 cricket right now….waiting for a compact .25 cricket if they’ll ever make one.

Cricket don’t make them you have to convert them to compact and standard, that’s what I done to mine.

.25 compact 26.5″ OAL, 43fpe, 35 shots at 250b fill

.25 standard 28″ OAL 48fpe 43 shots at 250B fill

That’s for rapid though not crickets atvb Dave g

It’s a great idea and with a banjo swivel gauge would be universal on any gun bit like this type

this added tube can be modified to be shorter just to fit a gauge. its simple but vary smart-way to go Imppu!!!

Very good idea this. I have more or less the same setup on a few custom made guns. As long as you know what you do when filling your gun and/or use the gauge on the fillkit to fill it to the right pressure, you don’t actually need a gauge on the gun reservoir at all. It’s enough to keep an eye on the reg.chamber gauge. You know it’s time to refill when the reg goes off preset pressure. Also it would signal very efficiently if something is wrong with your regulator…. 😀

that’s part of the check list when installing/adding a tube with threads, just some people think it vary easy to make one.

Wouldnt this have to be made to idividual guns tho ucouldnt guarntee the threads lineing up ie gauge could tighten up faceing down or to side if u get me ???

Unless u made the gauge on a banjo type section but could be prone to leaks then atvb dave goodall

I see. I guess I wouldn’t want my little standard to be any longer. I like the tight package.

it don’t matter, just the air tube gets longer with the added tube—tube stick out more at the muzzle. see the photo its a long and the air tube is even with the shroud. aft of scope rail measurement is unaffected.

on a compact cricket I can use the long or standard air tube, same thing his doing here but adding regulated air space.

Pretty cool. So this would work on the standard or long?

Would the single shot tray work with the wood cheek piece?

Great Job, vary interested on the finial setup. yes that what I mostly look at on my FX ranchero that has a cricket regulator, the stock gauge location shows me the regulated pressure set at 130b, have no other gauge so I fill to 275b, so I look at the gauge if it drop below 130b so I fill again. So it would be vary nice to have the gauge to show me the reg is working/none working/need to reset/time to fill???

Good work man ! 😀

I have for long time wanted a pressure gauge on the reg. chamber and fail to understand why it is not standard equipment on expensive guns…..

Please show us pictures of the finished product when it’s ready……

Cheers
