Hey Subssonic could you make one like this if I gave you the measurements.
I have one that uses curlers and I’d like to try your first one out, with a small change as in the photo.

Probibly….. Shoot me your dimensions and I’ll see what i can do..

I did finaly get a quote on annodizing ant if i want them now its gonna be more than it worth since they are a small shop and dont do alot of it but i can get the aluminum end caps powder-coated and keep everything within budget…..

Here is a link to LtLurker’s review of my gen2 insert….

Greg

did you get that quote on the annodizing yet if so how much and can i see a pic of the gen2

cignus- yes the new gen2 inserts have channels for the air to move arround, they are currently set up to fit a stock TSS but baffles can be removed if you have a longer barrel….

pandemic- yes i still have a few of the gen1 inserts left and they are $45 shipped, the gen2’s which are more effective are $65 with the delrin end cap and $75 for one with the annodized aluminum end cap ( im still waiting on a quote for the annodizing so they arn’t done yet)

well guys i finally got these damn things done… I went through 4 different designs (1 of which collapsed on itself) and more O.T. at work than i can count… I have one “setup” part that will still function but just dosn’t look as good as the rest.. More info will be in the forsale section….

Greg

Are you still selling these i would love to buy one sooner or later

I have a Gen-1 baffle insert from Subsonic. I like it and it performs well. I’ve never used the Gen-2, so for it I can not speak. I drilled two small holes in the end of the baffle which slides into the frame, so the first chamber could vent back into the frame which has the vented bushing and the drilled frame mod.

It seems to have made it a bit more quiet, but in all fairness, too much time had passed between the A/B test and there were some testing variables as well. The altered environment and elapsed time weren’t condusive for accurate results, or drawing any solid conclusions. For the price I invested, I am extremely satisfied. :thumb:

looks good…have you tried venting the rear most compartments by dirlling the baffel so air can flow from one “room” to another….small holes so highspeed air will have to slow down to flow through….pressure will be equalized a bit between rooms, many ldc’s i have seen does that, some even connect all the rooms together and just relies on the baffel scraping the air away from the pellet path, and they have been working very well too

just a thought..i think your insert is awesome, and if it would fit inside the frame of a stock SS that would be even better….btw does it come in black 😉

Ok with the positive feedback that im getting on the Gen2 inserts they will be ready to go by middle of this month as long as getting the aluminum end caps annodized isn’t too cost prohibitive… It will be $65 for one with black delrin end cap and $75 (hopefully) for one with a black annodized aluminum end cap… I’m working on a way to use these baffles in my shroud tubing which has a 1.075″i.d. so that i can get some shrouds out too but im not having any luck and i dont wanna cut corners.. I get most of my material out of local fab shop “scrap bins” which is why im able to keep my costs low and offer my products at a lower cost to you. The shop that i was getting the 1.125 delrin from for my shrouds is no longer using that material so i’m left hanging and i really dont want to have to buy it at full cost because then my prices would have to reflect that increase….. So bear with me as i try to sort this out and start getting shrouds out again… If you have any questions or want to get one shoot me a pm or e-mail…..

Greg

Subssonic,
Did I get a Gen1 or a Gen2 from you? I’d be glad to give a report, but for your sake, I and everyone else would need to know which one Id be reporting on.

Well my last two testers have been selected… once i get their feedback then things will be going into production and should be ready to go before the middle of march…..

Keep watching for more…….

Greg

PM sent. I’ll give it a go.

I can vouch for Subssonic, these drop in shrouds work nice, they aren’t as quiet as a conventional shroud, it definitely reduces the report by a considerable amount, while not increasing the length of the gun. 2 thumbs up

Ok guys i’ve just finished up two more gen2 drop in TSS inserts and am looking for two people who want to field test them and get a smooking deal on them before i do a large production run of them. The new design is based on my gen2 shrouds…

If you’re interested shoot me a PM and it will be first come first served, Price on these beauties will be shipping for $65 once i get a couple more reviews to make shure the new design is a keeper..

I will post pics when they are ready for sale…
