drop in insert for TSS….DONE
Im planning on making a few drop in style inserts for the TSS that will work with the 12″ barrel and .177-.25 cal… it would be made of black delrin and run about $125 shipped…. so my quwstion is this… is any one really interested in having one of these???

Have you given any thought to making them in black? It would blend into the overall aesthetics of the gun.
If you ever get around to making them in black it probably will make your gun faster as well
thanks guys forl the compliments and YES they will be made out of black delrin.. I finally found a good source for the material and it should ship out by friday so im thinking that its gonna be about a week and a half before i have any of the BLACK ones made up… If tron wants some “drive rings” machined into the O.D. then thats gonna be a little extra and i dont wanna know how well it works……

That stuffs not easy for me to machine. Keeps squirming around. That price is very fair IMO.
The one in my sig pic is very similar, and works great so your design is solid.

well they are all gonna be black and with any luckim gonna be able to sell them for $100 (im waiting on more material quote before i order what i need)…

well here we go… this is the prototype of my design, and things arnt gonna change except the color of the delrin… before anyone wines and cries about it being white that just happens to be the piece that i found for testing the design out with.. It quiets things down almost as well as my 6″ shroud and should work with .177-.25… this one was tested on a .22 shooting low 900’s … let me know what you think…

So far, no baffle system has been effective without increased shroud volume to lower the air pressure released from the muzzle, especially with a hi flo or power modded valve in the tiny cavity of the Talon SS.
It really boils down to one question and one question only……..
Any fool knows Black absorbs light and sound.
There is antidotal evidence that once an individual has gone Black, they never go back.
While 7.5 inches doesn’t sound like much, especially for a Black shroud, it has proven to be a nominal length increase for a modifier to be effective, and does beg evidence to show that any Talon SS can be quieted with a baffle design only, and no increase in length.
