ED is announcing a price increase…..

Hmmmmm…..

Ed posted the below (translation by Google) on his Russian forum yesterday:

It appears he may be looking for a price hike due to the negative development of the ruble……… πŸ™„

We’ll see………

Ed,

I think I know the answer to this but thought I would ask anyway. Do you have any plans to sell any more Veles or Lelyas in the US? Are you even making these guns any more? I expect there would be considerable interest on this side of the Atlantic if they were available.

Thanks….

ED. Is it true that u wont be selling any more single shots? Do u have an updated r3m?

Hi ED,

sorry, then apparently I got the price wrong 😯 .

If you confirm that they retail for that price in EUR (please check with your retailers) then probably I will get in business for a Matador .177 R3M short.

Hi ED,

it comes from the weird fact that for you the currency is all the same πŸ˜₯ .

See for example, for you the US Dollar and the Euro are the same, 1=1, where actually 1 Euro = 1,37 US Dollars and when your price is for example 1600 USD/EUR then who is paying in euro is paying actually much more.

ATB and take care. πŸ˜€

Where did I said that USD and euro is the same for me?! The price for Matador in EU is 1’600 euro, shipping included, the price in US is 1’950 USD, without shipment, that is the same level of the price isn’t it?

See what happens when you leave this place Ed? :angrymob: trouble when you here and more trouble when you not..

On a better note, one of your .22 R3Ms just one the New Zealand field target qualifying shoots this weekend.. well done Allan :8:

But I do like how off topic we got on this one…

Reading and shocked! πŸ™

I hate to say it, but I told you so….

But I do like how off topic we got on this one…

Small but important note – I told about increasing the price in Russia due to the fact, that many parts for my guns are made either with the equipment which is working based on the currency tools or directly to the part baught for currency (barrels). Rouble goes down, and I am afraid it will keep going on, thus to keep the roubles price at the same level will be impossible. But why did you think that in euro or US dollars will be the same for this moment?

WM – have you ever tried that same Steyr in .20 cal ??

nah never shot one on a Steyr, I had a 24″ .20cal (5mm) L/W barrel sitting around for a while but ended up fitting it to my A/F Talon for shits and giggles.. It shot very well with Polymags, JSBs and Barracudas but rarely got used as I also had a .22 and .25 barrel for it..

Many thanks Wing. It’s easy to see your attachment and skill with those Steyrs. I keep a lot of 15.89gr, .22 stocked; an inch at 100m with those sounds good.

However, if the .177. with its flexible “diet” delivers surgical hits… There is the issue of fpe @ 100m. Hmmm. Would those NZ opossums drop at 100m?

Anyone else notice that we’re all mixing up metric and imperial measurements?

Is it purely coincidence that .177 = the diameter of a starling’s eyeball?

I have never had a PCP in .177 but my questimate for it’s max range regarding accuracy is at around 50 meters under perfect conditions . I’ ll have mine for backyard duties to max 35m so it should work fine for that.

100m is not a problem for my Steyr in .177cal… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=76e4NHPuLDM

Ahh, 10.5 grains at 945 fps, those Styers are awesome machines! I’m restricted to 20ft-lbs for field target competitions, you’re shooting slightly over that. πŸ˜‰

1″ at 100 meters is pretty sweet, looks like it really eats those CPH’s…

Just got word my custom 22 barrel is being shipped tomorrow! :8:

Hi WingM,

do you confirm Steyrs to be difficult to change power settings?

(Regulator and HST apparently not easily adjustable like on other rifles or is this just a rumor?)

Thanks in advance. πŸ˜€

Every rumor has a Kernel of truth …
The SteyrΒ΄s sold in ,ie Germany (7.5J max without FAC), Sweden (10J) and UK (16J) arenΒ΄t easy – nor inexpensive – to get upto full tilt. If you buy an “Export” version (High Power) then see WMΒ΄s post.

Thanks WingM! πŸ˜€

Love the new Hunter 5 semi-auto…..

Ive never touched the reg as it is set perfectly for me, mine is the HP (high power) model. The HST can be adjusted by dropping out one cap screw and removing the rear stock.. easy in my opinion.. some of the new F/T models now have external adjustor’s.
This was my first PCP so cut my teeth on it… still absolutely love it..
