There was NO excuse for Machine Guns childish rant! It was embarrassing.

Syn whatever problem you might have with the cricket can probably be fixed by calling any cricket rep…it’s that simple…if it was the other way around and it was the edgun that had the problem…who would you contact…Ed himself being that people love the fact that you can talk directly to him?….

Ed has spent lots of time on this forum answering questions. Oddly he has been absent since Machine Gun went mental on him. 😉 The one Cricket rep that was here used this as his own personal advertising space and never answered any questions. “Any” Cricket rep, you mean one of the two?

The Cricket I got from WWAG was “tuned and tested” by Peter (TGAG). Of course it was only tested to 30 yards, which is about as telling as testing someone’s spelling abilities by having them spell the word “and”.

I’ve had a bad experience with Peter/Boris (TGAG) and went through Steve only to not have to deal with AOA (and to avoid TGAG). I bought a high end FT competition pistol (from TGAG), was charged twice on my card and then run around the block trying to get a refund without having to have the bank do it. Eventually just had the bank do it since it was getting close to the deadline.

Pistol was supposed to be new (modified from a rifle), it had a screw that was stripped and jerry-rigged back in, the barrel was loose (along with a bunch of the breach screws) and it was shooting WAY over the power limit (12fpe), it had other signs that I was not the first owner. After about forty shots it lost air and would no longer hold a charge. I packaged it up (along with a custom stock I made) in a custom foam carrier that fit in a cardboard box. Talked to Peter, he said the valve kept blowing out the o-rings and he fixed it but it needed more testing. He tested it and it blew out the o-rings again, then he just stopped responding and a few weeks later I got a refund for the price of the pistol, my custom stock is ??, the box I made for it ??.

Fuck if I send my rifle into “that” situation… Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice… Yeah.

So really i’d rather deal with a rifle that shoots better right from the factory without having to go through all “that” again by sending it to Peter for work…

Say whatever you want about Ed, but don’t trick yourself into believing the alternative is any better.

I own four high end rifles and the Cricket costs the least and it shows. YMMV

Luckily not me,Tavarisz…

There are many Comrade´s in Russia, especially the old Guard but i have a feeling Ed is not one of those. 😀
He has expressed his hate towards the Russian establishment a few times so i know : Ed is no Comrade !!

Just for you I have dumbed the word down to “friend”… 😀 :butkick:
Cut and pasted right from wiki here is the meaning of the word in the way I used it and inteded it to be read..

“*Comrade*” means “friend”, “colleague”, or “ally”. The word comes from French “camarade”and this French word has it roots in the Spanish term “camarada”.
The term is frequently used by left-wing organizations around the globe. “Comrade” has often become a stock phrase
 and form of address
. This word has its regional equivalents available in many languages.

Russian usage

The original (archaic) meaning of the Russian
version of this term (товарищ, “tovarishch”) from Old Turkic
“tavar ishchi”, meant something like “business companion” or “travel (or other adventure) mate”, deriving from the noun товар (“tovar”, i.e., ‘merchandise’).

Shessshhh some people are so literal… 🙄

Ed has been strangely absent from the forum since Wing started reviewing the P12 hasnt made a post since mid January. I would like him to make a post addressing this issues before I draw conclusions, BUT with the available options out there for BPs cant see a EdGun on my short list.

I dont like to speak for Ed but he is currently a very busy man.. some might say up to his eyeballs in work as he is in the middle of a very large number Matador build..
Has anyone stopped to think that maybe the message he wrote in Russian on his Russian forum for the Russian customers is simply that? For his Russian customers only?
Do you all know Ed has two factories? one in Russia for the Russian people (cant be exported) and one in Estonia for exportation to the rest of the world?
Ed is also in the middle of building his new house and has a wife and kids to share his valuable time with.. to be honest Im surprised he manages to spend the time on the forums at all especially with you ruthless lot tugging on his nuts at any given chance.. 😯 :suprisedn: go easy guys.. where’s the love gone? Ed is our friend!

I know what you mean Donny. Not with ED but with the Shoe Box compressor. The say on all the AG forums that Shoe Box has Great customer service. Well, I ordered the rebuild kit which was nothing but a very small amount of “O” rings and paid 40 frigg’n dollars for them. Then he doubled the cost of post on them and added that to the bill as well. I’m still burned up on this one.

One day when I step up to a larger unit, it won’t be a shoebox. He has screwed himself out of a customer for life! 👿

Knife

Steve is the best Donny, I bought my Cricket from him and will continue to by from him no matter what I need for air gunning, you treat people right and do like he does with his customers you are going to win. It is obvious to me what Ed is in this for, just try and get one of his guns fixed by contacting him!

Ok let’s say he answers your email about a problem…what’s his normal response?.
“Give it time and let the gun break in”
Or
“Ill refund your money IF you didn’t drill into the stock or modify the gun in anyway”
Which then leaves you with no gun and back on a waiting list if you’d like another matador.

I’m just saying…… 😯

Sounds like someone needs to address their cricket dealer for a fix / replacement.

My Cricket was shipped shooting way too hot, EdGun too…

For me the experience of owning an EdGun and Cricket has been almost exactly the same except the EdGun shoots better at 50 yards and the Cricket came with a bent trigger blade. 😐

Oh and the Cricket changes POI with each mag, so I had to make a single shot tray or chase a wandering POI.

So in my book the Cricket product needs improvement… :angrymob:

One thing is for sure, there is no real consistency in either product. :2cents:

Lets see: reg. set too hot, breech and probe not lined up, magazine index issues, plastic valve stem issues … price increase?

Nope, not me. The Cricket’s still shooting one-holers, as shipped.

I didn’t buy an Edgun to have fun fixing it. Sure, with Ride, Ernest and others making/designing better parts, my R3M will hopefully evolve into a tack-driving tank. Add the cost of these fixes to the base price.

Improve the product; then up the price.

Yup = Edgun needs a strong US distributor that demands the vendor toe the mark through a strong customer base. Tony seems like more of a friend who handles the shipments on the side. Give the US distributorship to WWAG. Ernest is Service and Parts for WWAG now.

I adore my first Edgun but I am with you on this. It will be my last. If it weren’t for this forum and the helpful members, I would be screwed with a gun with issues. He needs a rep in the US like Ernest who you can get on the phone, send him your gun and get the parts. I asked for 5 breech o-rings from Tony and he wanted $10. Ernest sent them to me for free. There’s been many threads popping up praising Ernest for his contribution and it is well deserved. I am glad he’s taking the initiative to make better parts for the gun and share with others. Customer service award definitely goes to WWAG. Steve surrounded himself with great people. I haven’t worked with Steve yet but I am looking forward to it.

quote Urgirlinmyjetta:

Of course you don’t mind paying for his golden shitter cause your part of team edgun and you scream it loud and proud…lol…
I on the other hand only have 1 edgun and will never buy another…for starters…1 edgun is enough…and 2 after seeing a few of his business practices, I’d rather buy my gun/guns from a manufacture that has great customer service and parts to buy if needed….

Maybe eds service is great in Russia or Estonia but here in the old U.S OF A it’s not so….
His representative replies in 2 words and doesn’t help much in terms of making you feel comfortable if your having a problem with your rifle….I’m not saying tony is a bad guy…but it wild be nice to have some assurance that things will get taken care of in a timely fashion. Just my :2cents:

And p.s
I’m not trying to disrespect you ride just not a fan of edgun like I use to be after seeing what I saw out if Ed..maybe if you go back through the forum and read what problems people had and how they were taken care of…maybe you’d feel different. :confusedn:
