Q:

EDgun Leshiy Scope Choices (pics)

I decided to start a new thread where users could post photos of their scope choices on the Leshiy. The gun is so compact it really begs to have a scope that is in line with ED’s concept of a forest walking gun.

What Leshiy did you mount to that scope Cricket?

 it will have to do until Ed’s scope comes out. If it is good, I’ll buy it. Otherwise I will have to get something lighter

Hey yaaall

Eds meant to be bringing out a scope in April. Couple months off but don’t know specs either.

Hopefully it’s an ideal Leshiy option.

OK I apologize, The Hawke Airmax is the Be all and end all of Leshiy scope choices. It is futile to consider anything else I submit.

Don’t listen to them. I know of a 4-16×42 scope that is lighter than the Airmax and would sit nicely on the Leshiy. It is long to be sure but if you are like me and don’t use the hardcase but a backpack instead, that doesn’t matter. I have not used the hardcase since receiving my Leshiy and even with the scope mounted this far back it still fits my backpack nicely :biggrinn:

(Scope on pic is SWFA 12×42)

And its true. Beauty is you dont have to listen to anything or anyone. If it works for you and you happy with it…. it all that matters.

Parallax should not be an issue with such low magnification.

Its not the point. Point is that SWFA 1-4 scope has a set non adjustable 100 yard parallax.

Can it be used down to 10 yard? Yes. Will it be as crisp as a scope that has adjustable parallax? No.

ahhh looks like someones feeling got hurt

I am aware of how parallax works, But I appreciate the explanation. But again my point was parallax error increases with magnification and really isn’t a concern at 4x.

you are 100 percent correct if you want to shoot inside of 10 Meters all you have to do is adjust the magnification to 1X, this what you’ll get at 10 meters for five shots

For airgun use, a closer parallax is desired. We’re all shooting at relatively small targets. Can a 100 yd fixed parallax scope work? Sure but it won’t be parallax free inside of 100 yds at the max magnification. If a scope isn’t parallax free at your desired shooting distance, the reticle will basically float or shift. If you have a great consistent cheek weld and practice a lot, you won’t notice from shot to shot. However if your cheek weld varies even a fraction of an inch, you’ll be off target and wondering if it was the wind, pellet or another external factor that caused it. But in reality, it was because your scope wasn’t parallax free that cause the bad shot.

Here’s an easy explanation.

I absolutely love this SWFA on my Leshy. It’s just SO COOL to shoot. I wstich between swfa and hawke, depending on my mood 🙂

I believe this SWFA 1-4 IR scope you have is fixed 100 yard parallax with no adjustment.

Its a good scope to use on AR platform but on Leshiy it would be greatly beneficial to use scope with adjustable parallax.

No you can used it down to 10 meters
