Freedom 8 – air compressor
Do you guys use this product? I’ve heard it works alright, but does it last? Anything that is on for 8-12 hours straight has to have duty cycle concerns. I appreciate your feedback and alternatives for about the same price.

I have found his fittings about double the going rate in the past. Not sure how he gets away with that. If they have it – it is much less expensive for me to order it from Best Fittings in the UK. For small items the air shipping is even cheaper than what Joe charges from CA for S&H. Basically, the only things I buy from him at this point are the custom assemblies that aren’t readily available elsewhere and that hasn’t been in a few years. I bought used 4500 SCBA tanks with 12 years left on them for $200 each. The fire departments get a lot of new ones donated to them and dump the “old” ones frequently. Many of them get trashed that are just a few years old.
One more thing….Joe has the fill probes for the cricket (or any other gun for that matter) but it’s like $80-$90 dollars…..IS THAT RIGHT??? Someone please chime in and give some guidance.
I like this even better! You can easily make your own padded duffle bag and cut a hole on one side and sew in a seam around the cut-out for strength.
That I don’t know, but if you buy a hex shaped boot like the one on amazon…you won’t need feet…it can’t roll off the table with that on.
Eelect, is that an HPA booster? I just got mine not too long ago but havent been able to give it a thorough testing yet. How do you like yours and how many times can you fill the guppy off of the tank shown? What was the psi of the nitrogen tank when you got it 2000, 3000, 4500 or 6000?

The boot pictured is for 6.9″ diameter…..Joes tank is a little over 6.5″ and I think it should work. Also, I’m looking at scuba.com….I think they have everything you need and shipping should be free when you spend $30-35 bucks.
I too agree the accessories are a total ripoff
For those of you who want to get into nitrogen fill system keep in mind you can lease the tank for 5 years for around $100 instead of rental. Its a lot cheaper

I want to mention something about Joe Brancato (airtanksforsale.com) and his Carbon Fiber tanks. He may be a great guy to deal with….but he rapes everyone on his extras. Tank boot, tank protector, carry strap, and plastic feet….$98 bucks??? Total rip-off. All china made and costs him probably under $5. I’m getting all the same stuff at eBay and/or amazon for $30 including shipping. Even that is high priced…but I can live with it. Then he gives you his speech about how 11 out of every 12 tanks he sells has the “full armor package”….what a load of shit.
Just my opinion…doesn’t make me right.

Not sure which is best. I bought mine about a year ago when Princess was running a big sale and free shipping on both the dryer and the pellets. The pellets are rather expensive but some folks buy bulk desiccant beads for replacements in these things but not sure how well they work. The tube is really just a pellet/bead holder.
