As others have mentioned you can’t get your scope zero’d in unless you have a scope with mega adjustment on tap.
F shims.
Got a pair of Burris Signature Zee rings and posi line inserts on order.
Might want to lessen that cant just a tad Ed,IMO.
Love the rifle just the same.

Were you ever able to get it to zero out at any yards?

[size=117]I did a quick calculation at a scope height of 2″, the pellet drop at 50 yards should be 6.25″. The drop at 100 yards is 28.75″.

A 10 moa rail at a 50 yard distance would result in 5″ of drop, so you should only have to adjust for 1.25″ of drop in clicks or roughly 13 clicks…

Rail drop makes it so you click less at distance, not more.[/size]

FVA, if it isn’t too much trouble would it be possible for you to measure a few things so I could put this into Chairgun?

Chairgun works off of “scope height” which is the distance from the center of scope to center of barrel.

I would need to know your objective diameter, from the bottom of the objective to the shroud and the shroud diameter. Or if it is easy for you to measure from the center of the muzzle to the bottom of the objective lens that would work with half the objective diameter added on.

I would imagine your shooting range is 20 to 150 yards?

1 moa at 100 yards is 1″.

5 moa at 100 yards is about 5″ of drop, which is 0.0796 degrees.

10 moa at 100 yards is about 10″ of drop, which is 0.1592 degrees.

20 moa at 100 yards is about 20″ of drop, which is 0.3183 degrees.

5 degrees of angle in the rail at 100 yards is equal to 26′ (yes feet) of drop.

I did this the old fashioned way, descriptive geometry (cad). 😉

I ended up with a 22 standard. I chrono’d the 18.1 JSB’s at 890 fps.
For giggles I was shooting 28.5 gr. Eunjins at a old fuel tank at 70 yards and they were getting close but still high.

If it is 1/8″ clicks that is 8 clicks for one MOA. So 20 moa is 160 clicks at 1/8″ and 80 clicks at 1/4″.

So at 50 yards if you are 8″ high and have already taken up 10″ in clicks (20″/2 because 20moa at 100 yards is about 20″). You would need an additional 16 moa to be on target. If your gun is shooting at it’s zero at 50 yards your rail would have to cant almost 30 moa to get where you are now…

What is your velocity for the pellet you are using? You aren’t by chance using really light pellets are you?

5-10 moa rails are usually for closer in (50 yards) while 15-20 moa rails are for further out (100 yards). At least for airguns that is the case. 😉

Down on the turret brings the reticle up lowering the point of impact.

If I am not mistaken 1 degree is 60 MOA at 100 yards..

That would be 300 MOA or 600 MOA ???

Rosall, I’ve been thinking about doing benchrest competitions. My rifle is dead nuts at 30 yards and I can get close to 100 shots (18 ft/lbs) with a 24fps spread.

I’m not sure i’ll make the weight for sub 20ft/lb class though. 😯

The Western regionals are in a week and a half relatively close to me… I did benchrest (VAR) silhouettes but got bored after shooting six perfect match scores in a row… I want to use the Matador to shoot them offhand for a change of pace. Also have a new pistol i’m going to use for FT and silhouettes too.

The scope is a Bushnell Elite 6-24×40 I put on until my other scope gets here. It only has 40 MOA of adjustment so 20 MOA on either side of center.
Rings are as about as low as you can use and swapping around changes nothing.
Pretty simple really.
There is some serious cant built in.
Did put a straight edge on the rail and is true, runs straight.
I’ve used the Burris/posi lines quite a bit in the past.
No biggie but ring options just went out the window unless a scope has tons of Mils/MOA on tap.
At least in my case and some others from what I have read.

For me….. The Anschutz 5018 on my TUBB Guns Rock !!!!!! I am a 2 Stage guy.
So the USFT is So predictable it is unreal. I am have been doing the Bench Rest
thing….and the trigger makes all the difference.

I have a RAW BM500 due at the end of the month. The problem I have with the
USFT is the pressure Fluctuations due to the low tank pressure. I will covert it to HPA over the summer.. The velocity spread is to high for good Long Range cconsistency

FVA is right, ED designed 5 or 10 degree drop in the scope rail because ED has a thing for shooting at 200 yards and I am guessing he thinks everybody shoots there pellet guns at more than 100 yards also.
