I know my rifle is accurate, but WTF!!!
Shot some 40 yard groups today, and shot this 5 shot group
Am I missing something here? On a plain fresh piece of cardboard, about A4 size, no other holes, so unless my rifle spontaneously was firing them way off then check this out 😯
5 SHOT GROUP.
The top hole is a little larger than the bottom, so thats where 4 pellets went, the last just under!!
Talk about pellet on pellet!! 😯 😯 😯

The valve you talk about, the 303 stainless one. Can you get a picture of it? I have just recently made a Stainless steel valve for that dave guy.
Could be some trickery going on here…..
I would definatley offer to make a replacement stem but I have a bit of work on at the moment. When you get the valve, and if it has the shitty stem then shoot me a PM and I will look after you.

Dammit PB, I’ve been trying!!
I can make a small mushy hole with 5 about the size of a .25 pellet hole (1/4″), but not a neat hole.
Once in a lifetime I think. Least I got a picture of it to remind me of how good I’ll never be again!!!

Thats EXACTLY what hes doing adam, but the valve you are getting should be good. See the burst disk on the side of the valve? Thats selphbs work. He had to do that for insurance reasons in the usa, a safety was needed.

david is the man as far as im concerned his work looks first class.
the lads from bbs stand by his valves as well. so im in good hands.
but i have to sort this barrel issue out first.

Of course its a good valve design, its a copy of Sean’s. The only thing this bloke has done is redo the stem because he could only get the valve bodies from selphb. Hell, David is even using someone else pictures of the Blod/selphb valve, thats why it pictures the crappy stem.
I’ve got no respect for someone who copies someone elses work then passes it off as his own, bang out of order mate. Theft if you will…..

As RJ says, theres a UK guy called Dave here that might be persuaded to do a decent stem for you if you get a bad one. His work is top notch.

Make sure I really did have 5 pellets in tin lid? Yes Pab, you did, stop doubting that!
Check target for any nicks around the edges!!
Do a couple more 5 groups to check gun hasn’t gone beserk and shooting them 2 foot off everynow and then!!
When I was doing that group, I could see the target sort of ‘wobble’ a tiny bit and dirt kick up behind in the same spot each time, so I know it is what it is!!
Just really flabbergasted me that 4 pellets went hundreds of an inch perfect for 4 shots!!!! From 40 yards at x10 mag, you can see pretty clear, but not quite clear enough to see exactly whats happening. I knew it was good, just not HOW good! 😎
Since going back to the .22 18″ LW with JSB 18gr the rifle has gone from very accurate to crazy accurate. Really want to go and do some long range stuff now. Gotta be good for 1/2″ at 100??
