I like the look of the new FX Bobcat stock
just saw a picture of it and it Looks much, much better.
Still if I had one I would cut the stock down where the Mag hole is ๐ ๐
I will be shooting a Cat .30 in a few minutes :):)

Yup – Fred’s weakness is he chooses function over beauty. That’s how I know he is an enginerd like my brother. ๐ณ
But….isn’t that true of all bullpups?
That’s why in the real world, they are semi/fully automatic. Bullpups were NEVER meant to be used as bolt action rifles! However, in the pcp world, it is what it is, and people who like bullpups are willing to put up with the inconvenience.
As a one shot shooter, I always un-shoulder my ‘pup between shots, so it isn’t a big deal with me. However, with lesser men, and there are many, multiple shots are a must in order for them to get on paper, or close enough to live game to give it a good fright!
I believe what Fredrick has come up with is a genuine “BULL-BINE”….a hybrid cross between a carbine and a bullpup.
Hell, for all I care, call it a “CAR-PUP”, but it simply isn’t a classic bullpup as we know them. Fredrick has created a entirely new breed of pcp rifle, which seems to incorporate some of the best features of both long/bullpup rifles, with the good looks of neither!!! That’s why livestock breeders don’t try to crossbreed a racehorse with a goat!
As always, I sincerely welcome dissenting opinions (bite me) which do not reflect my values or definitions. I am one lonely, somewhat twisted, individual, trying to gracefully define to others (idiots) what I know as a “Classic” design, from something that doesn’t seem to fit any current definition.
If Fredrick wants to truly define his design, he needs to go semi-automatic, get rid of the long butt, and exhibit what a bullpup can, and was originally designed to be…a very short, compact, lightweight, powerful rifle, without all the length, cumbersome weight, and difficult carrying charastics of the classic long rifles. He’s close, but no cigar yet.

No,no,no – that was my Poem – or Oade – to the BC. No bashing … at all.
BC bashing at its best. ๐
Dman – youยดre the Man ! Will you paint it just blue or in blueish hue ?? Ocean Blue? Sky Blue ?? ๐ฎ
Post pictures of your target practice when itยดs due.
I think I’m gonna get me the new stock when I can then ill use the ole Baluga as target practice. After I paint it blue
Has anyone tried to come up with a small cheek rest idea for the matador? Not a leather sleeve, but maybe a small carbon fiber piece that attaches to the butt somehow that gives some kind of memory for you cheek/chin?
Youยดre onto something there. An adjustable cheek rest would be nice on a Bullpup – if it was made good looking.
My short take on this: The old Beluga is dead – long live the new Beluga. Kudos to Fredrik for listening the crowd. A new stock was desperatly needed. Itยดs a shame the new stock is as Fugly as the old stock – although in a different, fatter way – and soon the whole BP concept is lost with the bulkiness of that Carbine/BP hybrid. Bite the bullet, throw away the stock blueprints and start with a clean sheet of paper. I quess we all know thereยดs loads of potential in that gun if it only …
๐ If I think of it as a carbine then it doesn’t bother me much. Bullpup it is not.
Went from coyote ugly to …. Hey its 2AM and shes the last one left in the bar so she’ll have to do ugly. IMHO. There’s just something odd looking about it.
