Introduction A New Hobby
Just wanted to stop by and say hello to everyone. I’m no one important. I use to be a lurker and a learner from the TAG Forum for the last 2 years. I’m an avid bow hunter and a powder burner hunter most of my life. I never cared to join any of the archery forum or the powder burner forum. I stumbled uponed TAG by accident and am addicted to reading the posts. From this point, I fell inlove with air guns, especially bullpup.
I have recently purchased the SPA P12. It has been a really controversial air gun lately.
Anyhow I humbly ask all of you members(masters of air guns) to be your student. I’m new at this exciting hobby so going to need all the help I could get.
Wingman, thank you for your indept review of the P12 and congrats on your newborn baby daughter. I have three but they are all grown up.

My dearest Uncle Hoot, please keep me laughing in my deer stand this year so I would be too busy reading and laughing at your posts. I let a lot of deer passed last year because of you. :rofl:

Are you implying that our young kiwi shifu has the “Reaper0d Syndrome?” It’s like Ebola. You have to make contact to get it. So far you and have not made contact. I don’t know about shifu Coda and shifu Zonk. But shifu LarryW22 and shifu RIDETOEAT already did. Poor guys. :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:
Potato whiskey are great and so is loose women. As long as I had about 20 shots of the potato whiskey, I wouldn’t even know or even cared if those women are loose.
I’ll tell you something if you promise to keep it between us: I don’t actually know a thing about Firearms. I just quote things i read in lesser AG forums and tote those “facts” here – like it was first hand knowledge and wisdom gathered.

As I am sitting here enjoying my morning coffee and reading up on my favorite airgun forum, I’m laughing at shifu Ville’s and shifu Coda’s comments. But as I scrolled to see what young kiwi shifu Phil has posted, my laughter turned into cries and tears. Young kiwi master you, sir, are a man ahead of your age by many many many moons. Well done shifu.
Shifu Coda, I was borned in a small hunting, fishin, and farming village with a bow and arrows in one hand, a blowgun and darts and a fishing pole in the other hand, and a sling shot around my neck. The young men in my village are taught by their grandfathers how to hunt and fish and farm. We all made a vow to never ever sell our hunting tools for money. Our hunting weapons are the very extentions of our souls. We are attatched to them spiritually.
Shifu Ville, looks like we both have the same taste after all and are around the same age. But your knowledge and experience surpasses that of mine. Since disrespectfulness is encouraged here. I must say that at times you are quite difficault to get along with. :rofl: You need to lay off those potato whiskey and womenizing them Sweddish women, drunken master. :rofl:

Wiley Wombat is indeed a man with a taste for finer things in life. My all-time favorite is my Sako Vixen .222 which i bought new in 1984 when i was 16 years old. There’s something to be said about Rifles made in good old days before everything went more or less mass production. With my Vixen came a card and signature from a guy who had assembled the whole caboodle.
Very nice wing….I bet it gets the job done.

I have a lovely old Tikka LSA-55 (big fan of the earlier quality stuff)I have turned into a feather weight 6mmBR with a donor s/s Sako finlite .243win barrel and that thing is a laser to 400 yards.. its been my deer rifle for years.. I hope this is enough to excuse my behaviour at times.. :whistle:
As said, since you’re a Sako/Tikka owner you are allowed respectless behaviour here – in fact it’s encouraged.

I have a Tikka Lite in 22-250. I want Sirs Sako.

The Fin landers make one of the finest hunting rifles too though. I have a Tikka T3 30-06 (Sofia) and a Sako Quad(Ella) in a 22LR and 17HMR. Ella is going to get a well deserved makeover this year. Now that I have the P12. Ella will get a Manner T4 stock and both Lilja match barrels. She will be crowned with a SWFA SS 3-15X42 TRS. She has been my work horse for the past 10 years.
I see Airgun Shifu RIDETOEAT has joined us from his leave. As for our dear Uncle :hoot:, the story was made up but my parents do really live in Arkansas though. Anyhow I’m a bit concern about him too. I haven’t seen his post for a couple of days now. He is either visiting Michael Esch at Mrodair or just trying to think of a nickname to call me. I remember when he had his knee surgery. He didn’t post for awhile and I was thinking to myself “Man I hope the old fart pulls through this.” If he is telling to truth about being over 70 years old? My dad is going to be 71 this year.
Shifu RIDETOEAT the other airgun shifu’s are trying teach me other ways to relieve my stresses and fustrations after I’m done fuxing with my P12. :butkick:

On another matter it seems Uncle Hoot has been verbally assaulted by yackoff, with no response, I fear for his well being at this point. There have been reports that Uncle Hoot will not even look at his favorite dish of Lime Jello and mashed bananas. Hoot was last seen setting under a cedar tree petting a free range chicken and calling it by his pet dogs name, ToTo. Alas I hope these reports are bogus, you never know!!

Thank you Larry. You know your story sounds so familiar. It has to be our dearest Uncle Hoot. My parents moved to Danville, Arkansas when they retired five years ago. My dad called me yesterday telling me about some poor older gentleman in a red tight ass short with no shirt on riding down the road in a scooter. Now this is a country road in a middle of no where, sir. My dad said he approached the gentleman and asked him if needed water or anything to eat. His lips was all chapped up and there were vultures hovering around above him. All that came out of the gentleman’s mouth were “Leyla, Leyla, Leyla, Leyla.” My dad asked if that was his wife? The gentleman shook his head indicating a “yes” and putting his hands to his heart. Then all of sudden he got very upset and screamed out “Yacoff! bastard, bastard, bastard.” and tears came down his cheeks. My dad told him that everything will be all right. The gentleman shook his head, and drove off in his scooter. Luckily my mom packed him some food and water before he left down the road over the bridge.

Indeed, the early 80s stuff was the best.. some of the finest Bofors steel barrels made to date in my opinion. I love the Sako Vixens, had one in .222 with the Mannlicher Carbine stock.. should never have sold it but it was an unused safe queen and our forests are to thick to “bush bash” with such a fine piece of timber..
