Is the shroud clipping pellets or not(HELP HELP !!!)
I installed a new shroud on my .25 Tuned Condor, 12’ barrel last night I can’t tell if the gun is clipping. What is the best indicator of pellet clipping. I am shooting at 15 yds and after about 20 groups the pattern is showing the 4 out of 5 pellets are grouping nice and tight. Then in every group I seem to get a .50” flyer. It just seems to me that if I was getting clipping the pellets would be all over the place. What do the experts have to say about this.

glad you got ‘er shootin’. 😀
On the bbl screw, can either get a “heli-coil” thread repair kit or tap next size larger (12-32). As long as the barrel bushings are good fit, it shouldn’t affact accuracy to shoot it as is.
Adam…We also found one of the four barrel screws stripped out. I was wondering if there is a easy fix for that one..
If the hole is stripped it can be rethreaded. And the plastic screw can be purchased from AF
Those things are easy enough. Just have nebraska thread it for you while he has it.
Nebraska has the Condor shooting again. He is telling me that I had something,( I don’t remember what ) in backwards..
I don’t see how I missed having a part in backwards…I only tore it apart 4 times.. That was 4 times too many for me for sure… ..
Still have a couple of issues, like a stripped barrel grub screw and the plastic screw on the power wheel. I guess it is time to be calling up Tony for sure..
🙁 🙁 😆
I gave it up and turned the girl over to Nebraska. My Son is spending the night at his place and guarding my gun, just in case… I guess the two of them have big hunting plans for tomorrow AM…
I told you it would work. 😉
Now quit fucking with your gun and leave it alone. That poor gun has done nothing to you to deserve such violence :11 :3 :4 :5 :6 :7 :10 :18 :17 :16 :15 :14 :13 :12
As I have said time and time again ” YOU GUYS ARE THE GREATEST ” a great band of brothers live here and I am proud to say I’m a member.
‘I just have to really give a big rating as far as being a good bunch of fellows. After I placed a plea on the forum for help, there was indeed an outcry of assistance being offered. I had emails and phone calls from “get the blue jay”, “shrpshotr28” and “Nebraska. The gun was dismantled and the adapter was off and I put the gun back together FOUR TIMES, and there was just no way could I get the bolt to lock into place. I had pretty much given up hope and then Nebraska gave me a call and said “Bring the gun to me”. To make a long story shorter, I just received a call from Nebraska and it looks as if I stripped the threads in that damn power wheel and I am on hold. We are emailing Tony now and asking for some help. I will just turn the gun over to him and let him sort it out. Talk about a hard lesson learned. I can’t say enough good about the help that I received from the fellows here on the forum and I want to thank all of you…
This is what I started out with and my heart was pounding with excitement.

It was going to be a tight fit getting this adapter into the body of my gun. I used a rubber mallet to tap the adapter into the body and just knew that I had finally silenced the Beast..

After determining that the shroud would be on no use to me on the Condor is was time to take the adapter off the gun. I tried freezing with butane and canned air turned upside down and there was no way to get this thing out of there..
After placing a plea for help on the forum it was decide that I was going to take the gun apart. A few photos for reference were in order for this operation.

With the gun apart, I took the piece of iron and with the rubber mallet in hand I tapped the adapter out and Now this is where the problems were just to begin..

If you don’t know how to do something …..don’t do it
The baffle insert I made for my AF I cut for O-rings so it goes in very snug.
To remove it, I wrap a large folded up towel over the end of the muzzle, stick it loosely into the corner of the sofa, and fire the rifle without a pellet.
Make sure you point it in a safe direction, don’t do anything stupid like put your hand in front of the muzzle to catch it.
Hey “Y” I like the photo… I felt just like that until I recieved a PM and now have some assistance…
I think that you shoul center the mod whit de barrel and not whit the frame rifle, they are not perfectyli concenter,so that could gives you a little diference.
OK Scott and the pictures are on the way..

Thanks for the info on the tapping to the next size of 12-32. It doesn’t seem to be affecting accuracy so far. My Son was shooting .50 groups at 30 yd consistently. If the accuracy is not going to be affected, I may just blue loc-titer the barrel screw in place and worry about the power wheel screw.
I still need to address the issue about the loudness of this gun and you did have some thoughts on this. I am open for further discussion at your convenience for sure..
