Just got my 30 cal R3 long off of the UPS truck
Just tracked the UPS driver down. Last night, I was just like a kid on Christmas Eve, I couldn’t sleep a wink.

I couldn’t buy a 12 mm hex key locally so, I had to buy a ½” drive/12 mm hex and drive the 12 mm hex shaft out of it. I ruined 2 carbide drill bits before I got a ¼” hole cross drilled thru it.
I did the drilling while I was at work. I couldn’t remember if I had enough space to use a 12 mm wrench on the 12 mm hex shaft.
Nice post! I have a bunch of 12 mm combination wrenches and I will have to check if any of them will fit between the 12 mm shaft and the side of the baffle; if not, I might have to add a 12 mm GearWrench to my to buy list.
I plan on tearing my 30 cal apart Sunday. I want to see what Ed has changed and John wants to know what additional O rings that he needs to order for us 30 cal guys.

And to keep the .30 R3 spirit going. Here is a little simple and effective “tool” that I used to remove front barrel/moderator nut.

It started at Sears as 12mm Craftsman Hex Key. Then 20mm long piece was cut off. I used Gearwrench box end 12mm wrench to remove barrel nut.

I started this topic about my 30 cal R3 SINGLE SHOT that I was ecstatic to finally receive. This topic is not about ANY multi shot R3M! Just single shot 30 cal R3s!

I would like to keep this topic about the 30 cals.
In the past, I haven’t ever kissed Ed’s ass, I currently don’t kiss Ed’s ass and I don’t plan on doing so in the future. I do enjoy a couple of daily doses of Edgun Kool Aid though!
I have owned a few other high dollar air guns, they came and went. The 30 cal is my 6th Matador, I sold 2 of them and I am currently down to only 4. I do have a Morana and 9mm bullpup on order when Ed starts delivering them.
As delivered, my 30 cal long was not perfect. It ended up shooting too fast and it has a pellet clipping issue. I knew before hand that I would probably have to adjust the regulator and HST. The clipping issue will only take a few minutes adjusting to solve.
I was going to open the gun up anyway; I wanted to see what changes Ed made for the 30 cal. I like to tune and adjust my Edguns almost as much as shooting them!
I know that you like the attention and that you will probably now start on me. I wouldn’t piss on your parade and, if you don’t have a 30 cal single shot; I don’t understand why you are pissing on mine.
I’m happy with my single shot Edgun, i’d get the MS kit if it were available and operated as it should, not sure how many 177 kits will be made available. I converted my Cricket into a single shot with a custom made tray. Don’t have a real use for a MS kit but think it would add to the resale value of the rifle if I ever decided to sell it… If I had my druthers i’d have Ed make me a custom 24″ barrel (Long shroud kit) for it instead of the 18″ one that is stock the 177’s do not come in long versions.
I was going to get a 22 Long R3 but went with a couple new barrels for the USFT because I have enough airguns already. 😈
I appreciate that and my skin is real thick and I’m a prankster so I can take what I dish out. Yeah I guess I’ve been one of Mr. Ed’s biggest critics but rightfully so.
I’ll be shooting tomorrow and see what this R3M is all about. Plan on putting through a few hundred more pellets. It was frustrating to shoot last weekend.

You did saying that KITs will never come to USA and I just lie to people who expected them. I wonder what will you say when they would get the KITs, which are being preparing now for delivery to USA in Jan/Feb

On that note…
I never said they will “never come to USA”. Once again don’t put words in my mouth. I think you talk too much and over-promise; that is not lying. When you say you are going to do this and going to do that, people believe you and think it will be soon. You get their hopes up; then they are disappointed when they wait and wait and wait with no delivery in site.
I’ve been hearing about the mystical, magical “kits” for, I think, two freaking years now. If you ship them and they arrive and they work, then I will say good things. Until then, I wouldn’t talk about them and get everyone’s hopes up. Will they be available in both 22 and 25 cal?
On a side note:
Will these “kits” be a new improved version over what we are seeing in the R3M or will they be the same version plagued with issues?

I need to test it on some larger game. The raccoons only come at night so I will turn the motion sensors on outside. 😀 They come out a lot less frequently as it gets cold out.
