Just got my 30 cal R3 long off of the UPS truck
Just tracked the UPS driver down. Last night, I was just like a kid on Christmas Eve, I couldn’t sleep a wink.

Yep, I tracked the UPS driver down and got it at 10:40 AM today.
Look at the pic of the baffle nut and you can see 2 marks that I am assuming are separation marks from the die cast mold. I am assuming that the baffle was pressure die cast.
However it was made, it is very nicely done! :8:
The next few days are going to be interesting! At 2:50 AM, my current plans are to stop drinking beer and get off of this computer in 30 minutes, (that might not happen) get some sleep, get up early, fill the gun to 3500 psi, chrony a shot string and then open the gun up to adjust as needed. If I don’t need to adjust the speed, I just want to see what Ed has changed between the 25 and 30 cal, take a lot of pics and post them here.
I just happen to have a R3 25 cal long to compare the 30 cal parts to! 🙂

Looks like plenty of room to open up those front holes along with rear hole mod should help quiet it down even more.
I am rather believe that Oldgoat will change either Reg or HST or maybe both…. he likes challenge…

Here is what Ed came up with to hold the new baffle on. The baffle nut has internal hex flats for a hex wrench.

I witnessed from my work window my UPS person drive the brown truck to my business parking lot, unbuckle then stand up in the truck then get back in the seat and buckle up and drove off 😡 (this was about 2 hours ago) The truck left before I could get to the door to run them down.
My standard .30 is on that truck !
Still waiting for the truck to come back …….
This makes the waiting worse for me.

In my part of the woods, a 30 cal airgun would not make any sense at all.
Hunting with airguns is illegal in Norway, – and cal.30 for paper clipping ?????
