I jus finish now my edgun barrel cleaning, man, too much lead…
but noy after 50 shots im making better groups than past Monday.

That’s exactly what I did, I only removed the housing/cover of the moderator to clean the barrel, there is no need to remove the entire moderator. I put 1 rubber band around the cover to provide better grip and turn to open/close the cover. once it done, I remove the rubber band off the cover.
Cleaning Lelya barrel only take approximate 3 to 5 minutes max.
Well, i dont drink “Mate Amargo” or wine, only Champagne extra brut od diet sodas…

I do not use alcohol at all as well as many of my friends, we are willing to build a new country for Russians 🙂 so we have to be clever, strong and independed of bad habbits 🙂
I am glad that Argentina values my guns so high 🙂 When you are ready to be a representative I defenetly have to come over to check if everything is OK 🙂 By the way, if I remember we do not need any visas to come to your country as well as you to come to Russia, that is a good point! The only thing why I do not want to visit my friends in U.S. they requitre fingerprints while executing visas, I consider it as offendng act, I am not a crime to give my fingerprints, so I close America for myself 🙂

No way, I will not try to cover that before I began to work closely with you, Amerian guys, I was also full of prejudice based on propaganda 🙂 I thought that you are so poisend with the modern civilization that are not able even to change the electric bulb in your loo 🙂 and have to ask a person with the special license to make it. But having read you, talking to you on forums I found that you are the same as us, absolutely normal, with great sence of humor and able to repair or built everything you want 🙂 So, I wrote it just to make sure that you have to be aware of what you are goint to do and what results you want to have at the end and if you have any kind of quesiton or doubts, I am fully open to help you with the advice.

You should be VERY CAREFULL with the moderator and removing it, that can cause the problems with the accuracy. Just be sure that the moderator on Lelya is not only moderator it is also stretch the barrel, so if you do not fix it enough to stretch the barrel to the necesary level — you will have no accuracy, the same thing if you overstretch it. The other thing, when you remove the outside tube of the moderator you can twist the inner part accudently — so there will be no accuracy.

Hi Ed,
The JSB 16 grain pellets seems to be so bad compare to other JSB 14.3 and 18.1 grain. The skirts so thin and they bended, I purchased 4 tins 500 count, the first tin was so bad, I used half way down and skip it, started to use second tin, the second tin seem to be a bit better.
I have cleaned the barrel 3 time now, like I said earlier, I got good group once, but the trigger was stiffer than my Matador, so I decided to adjust it a bit for lighter pull, then the group was bad again.
I just did some fine tuned again 2 hours ago, I started to get good group again, I will post some targets tomorrow along with shoot strings. Based on my record, the everage velocity is 778 FPS, high 783, low 774 by shooting JSB 16 grain pellet, that added up 21.3 FPE. There is no other small gun same size can produce this kind of power.
I just received the flashligh mount yesterday and just mounted it up on Lelya, it look kind cool when shooting at night time, I can light up my target @ 100 meter, the light rated as 200 meter when it totally dark.
BTW, cleaning the Lelya seem to be super easy when using the OTIS Small Cleaning Kit, the only thing I need to remove is moderator 😆

I ordered some spare o-ring 3x1mm from mcmaster, I just received today and compared it with Lelya o-ring, it look identical. Now I have 25 spare o-rings for Lelya/Matador 😆 . Thanks bud.

You told that JSB 16 grain pellets you have had jammed skirts, if so, that could be an origin of the problems. Did you do anything to the gun? Maybe that is time to clean the barrel?

I got my shoot the JSB 16 grain @ 797 FPS with good group for a while. The trigger was a bit heavy, so I adjusted it to a lighter pull, now my group all messed up again. >>>>> SHIT <<<<<

Yes, we use 16 grain JSB Exact pellets set for 240 m/sec (788 f/sec)

Yeah, normally after cleaning the barrel, we have to put through at least 50 shots to build up some lead in the barrel before it start to group good again 😆 😆 😆
