the pellets arrived this morning @ around 9AM, and I started to test the gun around 10:30AM. While testing, I started to get good grouping, but then the group started geting bad. I noticed the breech keep pop out and I can feel the air blowed to my face.
I tried so many different velocity from 760-800 FPS, still don’t get good group. While I was filling the gun for another test, I saw a small oring seating on the table near by my left hand side, I don’t know when this failed out from the gun, this properly the reason why I could not get good group and the air blowing to my face every shot.
I need to go to HP to get some tools to remove the 2 pins that locked down the cock cover before I could reach the cock’s oring under it.
I will let you know how things goes after put the oring back to the loading cock.
Yes, we need to do it to cross the border on the new way. As I told before the Russia changed the custom rules and it became more difficult to take guns our of Russia (idiots!!!) so we have to make small tricks 🙂
All Lelya .177/.22 cal are labled as 4.5mm (.117), mine is 5.5 (.22 cal).

On the gun is 4,5mm or .117

Yes, those are the pellets I meant. As for the filling, you shouldn’t wait untill it cools down, just shoot 🙂

I am still experiencing with this new toy, I do need to move the scope around for best fit on me. I can’t seem to find a better scope in shorter and good pricing 😆 , I ended up with this scope, I have 2 now, 1 mounted on Matador and other mounted on Lelya
This is the pellets that I have order yesterday and they should be here sometime tomorrow for more tests.

I will try to fill the gun up 240 bar next time. How long do I need to wait for it to cooldown?

I would recomend use 16 grain JSB pellets, domed. I found the best (optimal) speed of them abour 780-800 f/sec. That speed will give you pretty good kililng effect up to 80-90 yards, comfortable sound and quite predictable trajectory of the pellet, you will not also have to use turrets on the scope, standard MillDot will cover that distnace if you zero it to the cross for 50 meters. As for the scope installation that is a very good scope but it seems to me you installed it too close to the back side of the gun, it will make it uncomfortable to aim. Just for the example how I do install it:
By the way you can fill it up to 240 bar, will have about 230-220 bar when it will cool down.

Do you find the cocking mechanism comfortable? It looks very clean, but I’ve always liked the tried and true bolt.
Does the shroud come off, and if so, could you give us a look at the barrel please? (so many demands 😆 )

I had done tons of tests today but still can’t get good group just yet. there were some issue with the gun and pellets.
1. While testing different pellets type/grain, I experienced something weir, the velocity seem to drop a lot. I decided to shoot it through the chrony and noticed, the FPS changed approximate 80 FPS lower than previous record. I also saw 1 small o-ring on my shooting banech, this o-ring is same size as the 2 o-ring on the cocking.
2. The pellets I received seem to be damaged internally, not the box. I look through 2 tins, most of the skirts bended different ways. This could made my group so bad and don’t bother to record them.
I ran to the hardware store and pickup a small pin removable tool to remove the 2 pins that locked down the cocking in-order to reach the 2 o-ring, I have noticed, both o-ring are gone, so I replaced them with the 2 spare that came with the gun, I still have 1 that I found on the shooting bench, I am not planning to use this o-ring since it blew off from the gun. I have contacted Tony, hope he can send me some spare soon.
I also had other thing to do also, the time ran out, before I clean-up my gears, I adjusted the gun to shoot the JSB 18.1 pellet for tomorrow since I could not get any good results from the 14.3 and 15.9 grain pellets today. The gun is adjusted to shoot the JSB 18.1 pellets @ the velocity 796 FPS. Below is a shot string I did before I clean-up for the day.
Filled the gun up to 240 bar, got approximate 25 good shoot @ high power on Lelya. Hope the group get better tomorrow 😆 😆 😆
