Can you or have you guys tried buying from another dealer outside of Lebanon, perhaps Europe, and have it imported in for less? Are PCP’s/air rifles consider firearms in Lebanon?

Just for information, even here in western europe people were selling the matador like 2500 USD and wanted to justify the extra high cost with shipping and custom fees only that estonia is in europe and also in the schengen area.

I am not satisfied with the price for EDgun in Lebanon. But I don’t know the situation there, how much it cost to make all the paper routine, etc. You, guys, living in the “normal” world even have no idea how it can work in the other countries. Just an example. I asked a friend of mine to buy me the details for my lathe. It was about 50 euro cost. He sent it to me by DHL. DHL asked me for the receipt. I explained that it is a present and I have no idea where he bought it, that is just a part of the lathe. I made them the picture of the old part, the picture of the place where it should be installed in the lathe, all the explanation. Noting worked. The Russian customs asked for the confirmation that it was me who has bought it, they asked for the confirmation that this part is for personal use not for business etc. etc. etc. I wrote them “Fuck off, idiots!”, and asked my friend to buy another part and send it to Estonia, in three weeks I got it in my hands. Just yesterday the same situation with the parcel from the China, a friend of mine paid the device and asked them shop to send it to me directly. The same story with the Russian custom and UPS this time. Since I am experienced now the only I got the request from them for the same shit I wrote the same “Fuck off, idiots, send it back!” and I will get it in three weeks again 🙂
So, I don’t know the situation in Lebanon with things looks like the weapon to be send, but I know for sure that it is quite difficult to send guns from EU to arabic countries or close to them, it took much more efforts papers, money and time. Hemn can confirm it and tell you how he get the guns. No direct restrictions, nothing like that just air transporters refuse to take them goods saying “We have no idea how it will work, so why should we risk?!”
Personally I think these prices are rediculous for anyone living outside of Eastern Europe or USA.
Air rifles here (South Africa) are insanely expensive, but firearms aren’t. I paid under $2100 for a Sako 85 .243 African hunter and Savage laminated .22 less than 2 months ago (both brand new)
But a FX impact .22 costs like $2850, AA S510 $1800 ect ect.
We have to go through a lonnnggg proccess to own firearms, but I think I might be worth it.
