More Edgun Yellow agenda

My Edgun experience has been just fine. No issues really, can tune it myself and don’t need any spare parts…
This forum isn’t partial to Edguns, if it was posts would be edited or deleted that didn’t fit the predetermined path of the forum operators, no such thing occurs. If you have ANY issues with ANY product you can speak your mind, the other members may have a say regarding your objectivity/subjectivity/clarity/sexual preference/sanity/whatever, but you are still free to voice your complaint (or praise) without it being edited or deleted.
That is just about as impartial as a forum can get considering the alternative. 😉
The truth is there are far more posts about how Edguns rock than about how much they suck and this is because on the whole the Edgun experience is good more than it is bad.
Additionally my Edgun shoots far better than my Cricket (0.25″ better on average for ctc measured 10 shot groups at 50 yards indoors). I could give a load of horsehit that the parts are easier to come by for the Cricket, ot that I can get it by Saturday if I order it Monday, i’m looking for an accurate rifle first and foremost, the Edgun simply delivers. So what if you have to wait, in the scope of life what is six months, i’d wait a year for a rifle if it shot better than my Edgun and have waited longer.

My matador r3 is as loud as a regular .22 firearm…I was shooting it yesterday and had my neighbor come
Out and asked what I was shooting cause I scared the hell out of him….so YES THE EDGUN needs a better shroud and nc offers a solution for that…
Now my Cricket out the box is as quiet as a mouse but I added a NC stripper to it and now it’s just hammer slap…which won’t bring out my neighbor.
I was just guessing at Neil’s reason for giving Ed some shit.
I have no experience with Edguns and have no idea how loud they are without modifications.
Why even spend time on their site? Simply don’t support them and start by deleting the bookmark.
I personally wish you guys would stop posting about them because I don’t even want to be reminded of them.

Actually several members have installed one of Neils shrouds, myself included made my R3 .25 much quieter.
It seems that Neil Clague has no love for Edguns as well. Is that because there is no need for his product on Edguns? Just guessing.
it’s probably due to the gray area around LDC’s ATF regulations etc. the NFA laws are purposely vague and the ATF relies on interpretation, so my guess is don’t allow any talk of it, then you don’t have any reason to dance w/ the ATF.
Videos would be helpful. Although alot of them are out there, just hard to find them all.
I was looking for a replacement to my cracked r2.5 std stock (older grey version), but didnt hear back from Tony. It was immediately prior to the .30s coming in, so he may have missed it.

You can read most of this in previous threads. Just search on Yellow. Yes Steve is being paid by vendors and that is the driving force. I know several vendors paying him that say they have no choice if they want to compete in the US market. He is making money rather than just running a forum. I am sure he is running the Yellow as a tax exempt organization and the IRS might like to speak with him. That is how he can be eliminated by those so inclined. He does not want to be probed by the Feds in any regards like LDCs. Many of the good vendors have left and are on GTA or other forums. Steve makes no claims that the Yellow forum is fair or unbiased. He basically does whatever he wants. Folks have no rights over there and can be eliminated at Steve’s discretion for any reason. The information has become very biased some time ago. He prefers new low information members to keep the scheme going and bans anyone that catches on and speaks up.
Also, why the hissy fit when sound reducing hardware is discussed in certain manners? I have been yelled at more than once about it.
Why are some tuners and any mention of them banned? People have been threatened with abolishment several times for simply mentioning certain names. Were they crooks and ripping people off?
I don’t follow the forums consistently all year and sometimes I miss controversies. As far as the LDC’s, I can’t figure that out whatsoever.
I have made some good contacts and gained a lot of knowledge from the Yellow. However, I do consider it somewhat of a dictatorship. Just my opinion.
Can someone enlighten me as to why Steve has such a prejudice against Ed and his guns? It surely is not just because Ed is not lining his pockets like some other mfgs. and dealers.

Ed maybe If and when you post videos maybe we can get them on a STICKY here that way everyone can find them. I to like the idea. Plus if you have the extra parts on hand here in the USA ready for shipment that would help out a lot.
Im sure a lot of Edgun owners and soon to be’s will be a lot Happier knowing there will be parts on hand.
As for making the special person to repair the guns, I used to explain that I made Matador as simple as possible even for those who has never had any experience with it to be able to make the small repair or tuning. I think the best way would be to make more detailed video about different issues which are quite simple to make by owner for few minuts then to send to service and wait weeks. So, offer me the themes I have to show on video 🙂

That would be great! Now remeber there are EdGun owners / wannabe owners all around the Europe too so spares are needed here as well.
I totally agree to your second point : The EG is very,very easy to both tune and repair – even for a newbie. Detailed Video´s with do´s and dont´s is the best way to make any neophyte to both gather the courage to dive into one and to lear to work on his Gun. Definitely.
That would also be the first time, to my knowledge , that any manufacturer offers such ” virtual repair manual” to the masses.
As is, the best “manual” for any EG owner is this very Forum.
