I just received an email from fedex that I have a delivery from Charles Frear and referenced by Topgun. I’m assuming it’s the mutant I ordered.
Is Charles Frear a dealer for Topgun? I’m confused…
What every the case, I’m looking forward to having in my hands sometime next week.
I’m going to mount a Clearidge 3-9 mildot scope on it.

Gabe better known here as Meech bought a gun from Peter with the same understanding he was getting a gun with a CZ made barrel NOT the barrels that BLEW UP THE ENTIRE TAUMAN name a German counterfeit barrel not a CZ. I hope all your guns come with CZ barrels or barrels that are supposedly just as g00d and shoot like laser beams like my gun and sozes gun.
At this point I HAVE LITTLE TO NO FAITH IN PETER from TGAG! SORRY! Maybe he can regain my trust if I hear positive things coming back about the guns he is selling. But this bull shit with Charlie Fraier is bad news!
Peter sold me an upgraded Shroud for my .22 Vulcan that was louder then the original one that came with my gun and it cost me about $115 bucks which I never recovered. He owes me one! When I spoke to him about it he was like OH WELL. OOOH WELL???? It’s Hammer Time!
Keyser, it’s not my understanding that the barrels would (ever) be the Taiwanese barrels. He mentioned barrels from Taiwan were 75% good ( I don’t know exactly what that means), but in referring to the pre-order sale of the Mutant Short (and Long), he specifically stated these guns would be outfitted with high quality barrels made in the Czech Republic. I do (always) appreciate your contributions and concerns regarding our hobby. You are in great part responsible for my interest in the Mutant Short, as you’ve shown me, along with others, where this is a quality compact multi-shot bull pup. It’s easy enough to understand your concern that the brand not be unfairly tarnished. In this case I hope it will prove to be unfounded. I’m starting to feel like the canary in the coal mine!

I’m really sorry this happened to you guys. No manner what Peter does now this is still wrong. This is the classic bait and switch. The gun regained attention because Peter claimed he was ‘re-barreling the mutant with a CZ barrel. Even that was deceptive. The German counterfeit barrels on those mutants are crap. I had one. Shoot the baby equipped with a great barrel you’d understand how good this little gun can be.
I would demand new barrels. Do not just be passive about this. The Mutant you guys were sold with Korean barrels has diminished value.
I have not got my gun yet, So I just have to trust that I get what I ordered and paid for,

I pre-paid with the option to cancel the order at any time. I’ll let the process continue for now. I expect Petr will do his best to deliver an accurate product the first time. I hope I get what I paid for. Can’t be too much longer now.

He mentioned the name of the company and it is not CZ the company but it is located in the country CZ (it’s not China :-)).I am sure he will make sure the guns are accurate even if it takes a new barrel. That is not much of an issue for me with TGAG as I have bought from them for years. What is an issue is the limited supply of barrels and how quickly they may come in since they have little control of that. The short takes additional machining which adds to the delay where the standard barrels basically drop in he mentioned. I think he mentioned five barrels were getting ready to leave Europe soon so hopefully a few weeks maybe for those five? It could be a quite a while before current orders catch up. Maybe not Edgun time leads but an unknown. So many of us have been down this road in more than several occasions. My Compact Cricket was a similar story but I lucked out on it. I got an extra in a shipment of a .177 with a skeleton stock (after waiting only six weeks) and they were in very high demand back then (it’s still my favorite PCP gun and I have tried a lot of them). Otherwise, it would have been another three months or so.
